Last weekend, I was playing some Halo 4, specifically in the Global Championships playlist. This guy charged at me with a sword and fired my BR in hope of killing him in time. He began to lunge, I killed him, got a bulltrue medal and lived!
So, has anyone else survived a bulltrue in Halo 4? Or have they all resulted in your death? Any other strange and weird anomalies like this that you have experienced?
I survived a Bulltrue once. But I was shooting a Sword lunging at a teammate.
Yeah… I don’t se the point of the medal, if half of the time you end up dying anyway 
I have survived one, I was shooting a player who lunged with a sword at a team mate, killing the enemy I was surprised to see I got a Bulltrue I didn’t know they worked like that. I can’t remember if my team mate was killed.
Other than that I’ve been griping about this since Reach
only one time in h4 but multiple times in 3

I’ve survived a couple. I think I had the overshield for all of them, though.
I’ve survived one. the only one I’ve gotten actually. either I see em and kill em, or I don’t and die… but I have HELP a bunch of other people GET THEIR bulltrues. lol
No come on guys. Getting a bulltrue medal means you killed someone as they were lunging at you.
In Halo 3 you had to kill the sword guy before he killed you to get the medal. I’ve definitely got a couple without dying. My personal favorite is the one I got with a pulse grenade, I died but still.

IIRC the medal description only states that you need to kill a player that is lunging. Maybe they have to be lunging at you in past games, but I’m pretty sure that’s not the case in Halo 4.

My point is that it’s not a rare occurrence to kill a guy lunging at you. That’s why in case it happened they invented the bulltrue medal. In a sense, you can’t die and still get a bulltrue. It can still happen though, but the definition of a bulltrue isn’t “someone lunged at me”, it means “I killed someone lunging at me”, whether you lived or not.

We all know that Halo Reach infection was the worst for this…
