Community feedback is important to us. We’re constantly reading these forums so we can compile your opinions and give them to the appropriate designers.
Our volunteer moderating team is amazing at fostering an atmosphere that is conducive to constructive discussion. I hope each and every one of you continue to use these boards as a place to give us your feedback.
I kindly ask, whether your feedback is positive or negative, that you follow the rules we have set in place (no flaming, bypassing the word filter, discriminatory comments, etc). As always, following our rules is a choice, but if you don’t abide by the guidelines you agreed to upon registration, your direct line to us will no longer available, and then we both lose. You don’t get to give us your feedback, and we don’t get to receive your feedback.
Be happy. Be angry. Be positive. Be negative. You are entitled to your opinions, and we want to hear them. Please just remember to respect your fellow forum-goers in the process.
Thanks for reading, and I now return you to your regularly scheduled Halo discussions.
I so do not envy 343i right now, or for the next few days. They’ve got a LOT of people who are, well, ‘less than pleased’ might be just a slight understatement, at what they have read.
As for me, I stand neutral at the moment. Not pleased to read some things but not hating it either.

When? I see that you have removed the game breaking things like Armor Lock and Evade. But what about bloom, sprint, no-ranking system and all the other abilities? Every change since Halo 3 have been bad and the polls on this forum has proved it everytime.
Ah yes, the only 343 employee to have posted on the forums in response to this community uproar is posting about the most important topic of all. The rules of the forum.
In all seriousness, thanks for having the guts to actually respond in some fashion to the current hypercane brewing in the community (since apparently NeoGaf is far more important than us), but we can’t be blamed for the reactions and emotions we’re letting out. Whether they follow forum rules, or not.
Joining mid match is the most suicidal approach to multiplayer.
Every time I join a match in progress in ALL previous COD games, it is a match that our team is getting stomped. Why on earth would anybody WANT to join a match in progress. You are punishing everybody to remedy a MINOR problem. You want a remedy? Make a stellar game and Stop ripping off COD, and stop catering to casuals and little kids.
Thanks for addressing it. I respect both positive and negative feedback as they help to drive 343i to improve parts of the game where necessary and indicate where changes may need to be made. What I can not stand however are the posters that make your job harder, with all their posts and ramblings about how 343i is the death of Halo and blah de blah. If they want to help out and prevent the so called ‘Death of Halo’ they should give constructive criticism and not incoherent ramblings.

We get feedback in numerous ways, and forum feedback is only one. We also look at game behavior, population, and other things that play a significant part in our decision making process. Forum feedback is important, absolutely, and it’s balanced with the other information we regularly gather and analyze.

bs angel, don’t explain yourself to these people. 343i needs to keep doing what they’re doing and Halo 4 will be an amazing game.

If I could clarify and provide explanations this very second, I would. But there’s a reason why we’re instead saying that dreaded “info coming soon!” phrase. There are certain dates that need to be respected, and once those dates pass, we’ll be able to talk more about certain subjects.
Sorry for all the ambiguity. I know it’s frustrating.

Wanna exchange jobs? I wouldn’t mind early Halo info.
