Depends on the scenario. If I am carrying loadout weapons only I usually carry the Halo 2 BR and a DMR variant together. H2 BR bullet magnetism is amazing but the DMR is better for some longer range kills.
I usually switch my H2BR to the normal BR with better accuracy.

I switch from the h2 BR to h5 Silenced Sentinel BR at level 5, then to the Sentinel DMR at 6, and then to Silenced Scoped sentinel DMR at 7. As far as BR/DMR there is a range at which the BR will win, but since I like to keep my distance it works for me most of the time.

If I had the Halo 2 BR, I would only use it. I am level 123 and still don’t have it but have every DMR. This sucks, and I believe I am cursed.
DMR is my top pick for a precision weapon
Because I can’t help myself and anything Halo 1-3 related, I am a H2BR feen! I’ll almost always carry a silenced long ranged DMR though.
