A question to my fellow members

Hi everyone,
I have found myself getting very frustrated with halo 5, especially warzone. Every game I play is always such a clutch and struggle that it frustrates me beyond belief to the point I go into a bad mood. This game is just way to competitive for me.

My question is, do you guys think I should keep playing halo 5?

This game just dosn’t feel good to me, and sadly I can’t seem to pull myself away from it. Maybe you guys can convince me to do something here, Lord knows I can’t seem to decide what to do myself.

Those who can, do.
Those who can’t, horde power weapons and sprint around with the SMG.

Lol

Try playing with friends. Sometimes even when I go solo I can get some really good matches in warzone. earlier helped team pull two victories, including triple capping and Blowing up core with light of urs and speed boost when enemy was less than 40 away from winning. And other with phaeton Helios that lasted and stayed alive when the match ended. About 11 minutes of use.

I wish that people actually used Mics. I think this is the worst game I have ever played by means of no communication. I dont know if everyone is in private parties or on skype or what it is but it sucks. Then when you do run into someone with a Mic they are not talking about the game or anything, they are just talking to other people in their house about random stuff, lol.

Clutch and struggle? Like close games? those are fun. If you’re just constantly railing the enemy team every game you play, it’ll get a little borning after awhile.

If it frustrates you that much, I would recommend playing a game that you are more suited to.

Keep playing and try to improve. Mostly I was playing BTB but have gone back to arena, WZ is fun with all the weapon variants but I usually just use load-outs if I ever go into WZ, looking forward to firefight again though.

I was seriously thinking about quitting but have been getting better the last few weeks, I don’t mind close games or losing. I just want to be a good teammate and not have to be carried. If I can get a positive K/D in a match might be frustrating if we lose the match. Sometimes I have ended up carrying the team and even if I lose I’m still happy I was able to get the most kills on my team. The new aim settings I think have had a positive impact on how enjoyable H5 is too. (H+V aim = 3, Accel = 1)

In a nutshell: I was pretty rubbish at H5 until I stopped worrying so much about winning. Perhaps worry less during games and you might find it more enjoyable too.

I cant stop playing it. Ill buy another game and come right back every time

No, I mean like my teams down pretty bad and the enemy just got a lucky shot on Captin hestro kinda clutch and struggle. I agree though, close games are fun.

It’s not so much my skill, as it is my teams just don’t work out well. Not saying I’m the only one trying, I mean that the team just dosn’t work well together, including me.

I get super competitive, if my team isn’t doing well I love to push my hardiest. In this game however I constintly am finding myself on the short end of the stick when it comes to my teams. It’s kinda wearing me down and hurting my spirits.

Perhaps it’s time I gave in and joined a spartan company and run with a fire team

Warzone is a real wild west anyway. It’s so casual that no-one tries to win and just spawns their latest unlocked REQ or so competitive you get farmed by a pro-team trying for Achillies. Try Arena, I know it’s more competitive but it’s also a more consistent experience. If that’s no good, stick sith Grifball and Infection. Party up for chat as no-one talks.

Chill out fam, go play infection

Honestly to me it sounds like you are a little burnt out with Halo 5 at the moment. I was in a similar mood a month or two ago, I left my spartan company and just went and played some other game’s for a good while. It happens to me all the time, just take a break from it and come back when the next update drops would be my advice.

I think your right, I just need to take some time away from it.

Take a breather.

So having crap teammates is the last straw really? If I have crap teammates or just poor coordination with them I try to push less and go more for a support role. If I’m the one having a bad game I usually just try my best not to die as much

I’ve played twice the amount of Arena matches as I have Warzone. For me, BTB is much more enjoyable than Warzone. I’m not a fan of Warzone. It can be fun when it’s good, but when it’s bad, it’s bad. It’s definitely something to play with friends.

I’ve been saving my good REQs for Firefight, and I know people won’t understand that. They’ll tell me “oh, don’t do that, don’t waste Hannibal tank on Firefight”, but they don’t understand that I don’t care about K/D, and having it boarded it and blown up in 20 seconds is more of a waste (not that that’s necessarily going to happen, but it’s likely).

Now of course something like the CE magnum and Prophet’s Bane is definitely for Warzone, those are for taking down Spartans, not AI bosses, but that’s beside the point. My point is, I care so little about Warzone that I’ve played half the amount of matches as Arena and typically don’t spawn ANY decent power weapons or vehicles because I feel I’ll get more use out of them in Firefight … and that’s because for me, I define “use” as time “spent in my hands”, not “Spartan kills to pad my K/D I don’t care about” … and I know what you’re thinking, but you’re wrong, I have won more Warzone matches than I’ve lost and I mostly just use my BR and SMG.

Basically, I’ve put almost 15 days into Halo 5, only 4.5 of them have been in Warzone. Arena & Customs is my jam. I love Halo 5, but if you try to force Warzone and it isn’t your thing, you’re not going to have a good time.

If you run solo, you’re gonna have a bad time. I don’t play this game with a fireteam or group of friends so I’ll be the first one to tell you that if you’re up against a party you’ll most likely get stomped. It’s a pain in the -Yoink- but you’ll just have to get used to it. I’m a pretty average Halo player, not bad but not pro; I’ve topped the charts plenty of times and I’ve been at the bottom of the list plenty as well. Personal score doesn’t really mean much anyway; if you get a high score you happened to get the last hit in on some of the bosses. When you’re up against people with coordination it’s going to be hard for your team to score those much needed boss kills.

Yeah I feel ya. I find that playing some other games for a bit a returning again later helps a lot. Just me doe.

Or they are randomly screaming

With Halo it does become very frustrating at times. My best advice is to first, find some friends to play with. Playing solo might be one of the most aggravating aspects of this game. Second, take a break from playing, it does wonders to your frustration levels.
