So we’ve been told we’re recieving 5 new Spartan Ops missions each week, but I recall seeing somewhere that each week these 5 missions will be replaced with a whole new batch, and the old missions will be terminated. Is this true? Because that’s incredibley stupid if someone doesn’t play Halo for a week, and misses out on a huge chunk of gameplay that they will never even have the CHANCE to play again.
They want you to play Halo 4 only.
I’m fine with that.I would have done that anyways.
In game informer they said that the new missions won’t replace the old ones. Meaning you could play missions from week 1 several months later.
Can’t dedicate 2 hours out of an ENTIRE WEEK to Halo? Not my problem.
Anyway, if you miss a week, it still stores all the CG cutscenes explaining the plot. And once the few months of the season are over, they will likely either put up ALL the missions for use, or re-do it. So you just have to catch the missions next time they are up.
@Ersa: Wrong. It said quite the opposite. You can play the missions as many times as you want until the new week rolls the missions over and the new ones come out, replacing the old. The only thing you can access at any given point in time is the cutscenes.
But like I said, when the story ends a few months in, they will probably just put all the missions up.
The question is will they be downloadable content or will they already be on disc?

I doubt they will be able to fit THAT much content on the disc. And it’s not DLC either. The most likely case is that the missions are stored on 343i’s servers, and your Xbox temporarily loads them from there as you play them.

No, this is wrong. We have no plans to remove content.

Thank you for clearing that up sounds like a fun game mode.

Have you played Halo 4, Total Sellout?

That is true, but missing out if you want to play another game kinda sucks.
Who the hell said we’re getting 5 a week? It sounds more likely that we will be getting one per week via free-of-charge DLC, and that it will be available infinitely after its release.
