So after reading the weekly bulletin’s Q@A section and coming across iapplefanatic’s question on how CSR rankings will be based and seeing Quinn’s answer, it got me thinking on how guests fit in.
Quinn said that in the mainstream playlists, it is based on your individual performance and the CSR of those you play against.
For select playlists, it is based on both Win/Loss and the CSR of your opponents.
So where do guests come in? Are they given a ranking the same as the main account they’re playing off, given a 0 or 1 in all playlists that can never go up or down or are they not ranked at all?
The problem with this is if the CSR comparison rate is the same.as Halo 3 (dont quote me on this or flame me if this is wrong, its merely the most common thing I’ve read), playing players of a much lower rank will result in a slower rise in rank.
The other thing is how will having a guest affect the matchmaking search system? Are they ignored to make it more strict and only taking the main account’s rank into consideration or the only weighting they get is just adding one to the party size you search for?
I have my doubts about guest support in a ranked environment, but mostly confused as to how a temporary stat will affect CSR.
I’m also not bagging on the skill levels of guests, this is purely a few things that have me a little puzzled.
