Right, so by now, you should know that I usually make threads to ask questions. Well…I have another question.
Spartan Points
Please forgive me if this news is ancient or if it is unknown but how do you earn Spartan Points? Do you have to rank up or do you earn them after every session?
If anyone has any idea it would be appreciated if you helped me out.

I was wondering this myself too, I’m gonna check the Internet to see if there is some info about it.
I thought that it was at every rank, or just after a certain amount of XP earned.
i think you get them when you rank up?

I think they’re similar to credits in Halo Reach, I’m not quite sure either though.

If you good sir are correct and you earn them every time you rank up, how would you earn them at max rank? Maybe this is where specializations/Prestige/whatever it’s called fits in.

Either at Max Rank you have enough SP for everything, or you continue to earn SP through EXP.

Maybe this should be brought up at some point. After seeing the thread’s replies, it is clear that the subject hasn’t been talked about in a deep manner.
Nevertheless, I hope information is released on this subject soon.

Don’t worry, if it hasn’t been discussed, it hasn’t been discussed. Simple as that and there’s nothing we can do about it.

Yeah, it seems like you get EXP for playing/winning/doing stuff in game, then upon reaching a new rank you get a spartan point. Making the progression system kinda like an RPG where upon leveling up, you have something to spend on new abilities. In an RPG, when you get to the max level and still have some locked abilities you’re done…you don’t usually get them all, making your choices for what to unlock matter. Not sure what they’ll do here, a mechanic like that will probably make people sad. Though I think I’d like it, could be fun and then they could raise the max level later on allowing additional abilities.

I would assume you get points through how you play games. Maybe like you get more based on in-game medals you earn. Probably from campaign, spartan ops,and multiplayer. I don’t know for sure either but that would be my guess.
Although not much has really been confirmed yet, I still feel like we’re going to be getting a combo of both the Halo 3 system and Reach’s. You’ll earn Spartan Points (or whatever they’ll be called) which you can use to purchase items in the armory (i.e. Reach), as well as XP which will apply to your rank (i.e. Halo 3). What I’m getting from this “prestige” system is that you can go through the ranks 10 times with only your specializations getting reset when you do and every time you reset them you’ll unlock extra items to purchase.
Not sure how accurate this is but there are so many conflicting reports about all this that it’s hard to get a grasp on what the real system will be, and it could always change prior to release.

This is what I thought. I figured spartan points add up to rank you up and can be used as currency but they might have the system split.
Exp to rank up and Spartan points to purchase things which would be fine as well~
