My questions are to those that have the Halo 4 console. Is it worth the money or should I just buy a new slim console? What are your opinions on it, does the copy of the game have proper artwork on the disk as I have heard otherwise and do the sound effects when you use the disk tray and power the console on and off get annoying? The difference is £100 between the consoles and I’m not sure which one to get.
The reason why I may need to upgrade is because yesterday I did something quite dumb. Due to me being lazy I thought it would be smart to try and turn my Xbox off with my foot since I couldn’t be bothered to lean down, I have my Xbox laying horizontal by the way. Any way I hit the power button with my foot but I kind of underestimated my strength and I hit it harder than I expected, the console shut down straight away. Today I took my Halo 4 disk out to watch a DVD and looked at the disk to find that there was a scratch in a perfect circular shape going around the disk.
Now I don’t know whether or not this is because I kicked the power off button to turn it off and may have damaged the disk or if my Xbox is generally faulty. This is my second Xbox 360, the first I got at launch and it had a laser problem that scratched my disks similar to how this disk was scratched and it eventually red ringed around 4 years ago forcing me to buy a replacement arcade console. Out of curiosity what do you guys think most likely would have caused the mark on my disk? I’m 50/50 on it being me kicking the power button or it being the laser. I haven’t tried any other games recently and I don’t know how long it would take for the marks to show up if it was the laser. I know you shouldn’t literally kick your console and I didn’t mean too, its completely my fault if this is to blame haha
Due to this I am thinking of upgrading, this on top of the fact this console is now 4 years old and it is an old model with limited HDD space kind of make me want to upgrade anyway.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post, Kai.

yeah that little circle is permenent. you’ll have to get a new one
oh ive got a unopened halo 4 console. 320 GB HDD, Fotus Armor. 2 controllers. blue light
that’s laser burn i think
you can also get it by knocking the console while it;'s on or generally moving it from vertical to horizontal or vice versa
Luckily the game still works with the marks but would probably stop working if it sustained more damage, I would still like some feedback on my questions from people with the Halo 4 console
i HAVE the console. it’s epic
> 1. you can buy it from me
> 2. i abselutly love it!
> 3. the sounds DO NOT get annoying at all =) the normal ones kinda do
> 4. it is really worth it
Does the bundle copy of the game that comes with the console have the proper artwork on the disk? I’m looking through youtube and on some of the unboxing videos the disk has the proper artwork on and on others the disk is just plain black and white
Don’t worry about rings anymore with the H4 xbox, it has a 320 gig hard drive, install the game to the HDD, start it up, and in a minute your disk will stop spinning. So the game barely ever is spinning, leaving you with less chance of a scratch if someone knocks it over or something.
The design, the sounds (they’re alright, not bad, not the greatest they could have picked to represent Halo with though), the controllers, HDD size, all worth it for me. The game case and disk has artwork, only difference I saw from the normal one was that it has a little yellow bar on the case slip saying it’s not for individual sale.
When I got the Reach Xbox, I was ecstatic, but when I got the Halo 4 one, well…I was pretty happy, let’s say that.
I love the sound effects that it makes, the color combination is phenomenal, the transparency on the console itself is beautiful…plus all of the lights are blue!
Best of all - the blue is almost the same color as my eyes. It makes it that much more awesome.

Either Ebay or a Gift

Well, a White light, with blue plastic making it look blue. At least that’s what it is for the controller.
