A question for those who play King of the Hil

You do know, that, to win, you need to be IN the hill, right?

I ask because I’ve gone five matches in a row with people who play this game like its CoD and are only trying to kill enemies (which they are horrible at doing) instead of doing the objective, and it really ruins it for the people actually trying to play.

Like, one of the matches alone, I had 1:14 hill time, my friend had 0:55 hill time, and the guy in third on our team had 0:14 hill time.

Its hard to complete the daily when people like this play. I think they should be punished in some way, or at least put with people of their calibur instead of ruining the game for people actually trying to play.

Then again, maybe its just my luck, the TrueSkill system always seems to pair me with borderline idiots to make up for their idiocy.

Sane here, when I saw the challenge I was like hey this is gonna be easy until I saw the idiots I keep getting paired with. Doesn’t help with the respawn so quick so you can’t set itself to hold the hill properly.

I’ve got that with every objective game. I always go positive and try to keep map control and in the meanwhile I’m also trying to get the flag all on my own. Guess what? My team always manages to lose… It has always been like this, also in previous Halo’s. You just can’t be without a team…

Its depressing.

Though, it was funny, the one match, we were sitting at 77 points for the longest time while the enemy kept getting points, and I start flipping out on the mic. My friend is laughing at me, and then I looked at one of my teammates who was RIGHT NEXT TO THE HILL and stated

“Hey, I know you love CoD and all, but maggot, this isn’t CoD, THIS IS WAR, NOW GET YOU @$$ IN THIS HILL AND YOU HOLD IT. IF YOU DONT HOLD THIS THING, THEY ARE GONNA COME IN HERE AND MURDER YOUR WHOLE FAMILY!!!”

After I finished, he looked at me, and then walked into the hill. The rest of my team followed suit, and we went from being 77 (with them having 140) to having 137 before they even got to 150. I was laughing so hard afterward.

Though, the bane reference I had for one of my Hill matches was awesome, and ended up with the other team laughing.

We won and I was like “You simply adopted the hill, I was born in it, molded by it”.
