Was the singleplayer designed to be hard?
Let me clarify something, I don’t mean playable difficulty. A lot of Halo 4’s campaign was only really understandable to those who put time into reading into the expanded universe and searching for the terminals. For anyone else it just seemed like the Didact was attacking earth for no reason (those who ignored the Librarians speech).
Meanwhile the mutliplayer was designed to better fit the casual player, and it did that well.
Just chucking this out there; Were the two different modes designed to be different?
