My disc is messed, it’s in no shape for me to play it. My Xbox will almost always know that it is Halo: Reach but the loading times take too long, or when I go into Matchmaking, it’ll freeze the lobby and eventually boot everyone out. This is why I don’t play on the disc anymore as I’m afraid I’ll get banned. I have to play on the Anniversary disc. I didn’t install Reach when I got it because I had a 4GB Xbox Slim, without a hard drive. Now I have a 320GB Hard Drive.
If I borrowed my friend’s Reach disc and installed it to my Hard Drive and then used my own Reach disc, would I be able to play? My Xbox still knows it is Halo: Reach, after all.
I think it should work. I’ve never done it myself, but I’ve seen that recommended countless times, and no one’s ever posted about it not working. :\
I’ll try it sometime, I guess. Thanks. I don’t want to buy another Reach because I’m on a skinny wallet and I could buy another video-game or just something else with that money. Also, Halo 4 is coming out soon.
If anyone else knows more to help me, please post here!
Yes it will work. I had this issue with my CoD 4. My Xbox was knocked over and it scratched up my disc making 3 MP maps unplayable. Installed the game from my friend’s disc and it worked fine when I used my crap disc to start it up.

Thank you, sir! I’ll get to it. Good to see someone who has faced the same problem that I have and resolved it.
