So, the new Xbox is rumored to be released at the end of 2013, which makes me wonder… what about Halo 4? I don’t think Xbox would launch there next console without Halo, so are we only going to have a year of Halo 4 before Halo 5? Or will 343 make Halo 4 (with all our old stats and unlocks included) for the next gen console?
I’d hope not because then that signals for a COD tradition of a game every year. Which doesn’t allow you to get the best experience from a game in my opinion. It shows that you know your game won’t last a year so you need to release a new one to replace it.
I would imagine that Halo 2 Ann, will be the first Halo on the new X-box.
If the rumor is confirmed to be true, i would still doubt that Halo 5 would came out in 2013 (or 2014).
Actually, i believe that you would be able to play Halo 4 from both consoles with no problems at all and use Xbox Live to connect both kinds of users.
Well the 360 got Halo 3 after 2 years so you never know.
Although I want to see it launch with an amazing new IP (like Gears did for 360)
Halo 3 was not a launch title for the xbox 360, and it did well, despite the rrod issues.
i doubt we’ll see a new halo until at the most late 2015.

If the next Xbox is really coming out in November, I’m willing to bet that Halo 5 is released with it, especially when you consider the release schedule for the map packs (December, February and April).

I’m going to bet we will see Halo 5 fall 2014.
I just saw the IGN article on the two possible Microsoft price point consoles and the possible 2013 announcement. It’s not hard to imagine that Microsoft would be cracking the whip on 343 to produce Halo 5 for such a November 2013 console launch. All the hardware and staff is present, so I would guess no rest for them apparently.
Xbox 360s are still selling so If I was Microsoft I would be more inclined to wait for 2014, but with Sony getting ready to launch the PS4 I would imagine it’s going to be a shoving match over the next Holidays and so it’s a do or die sort of retail issue.
I doubt it. It’s somewhat plausible only if another 343i division is making it already.
If there will be a Halo launching with the next Xbox, it’ll be Halo 2 anniversary. There is no way 343i could pump out a AAA title in a year (even CoD has a 2 year cycle for each development team).
I doubt that there’ll be any Halo to launch the next Xbox though…I bet it’ll be a new IP.
