A question about downloading halo 5

So I just downloaded Halo 5 to my xbox one. As a bonus, you get a free req pack when you pre-download. However, the credit card I use is linked to another account. Which account will the req pack be linked to and is there any way I can move it to my main account?

What? It’s all together so check your game title and bonus appear as tiles next to H5 manage game

I don’t think so. I’ve done this before myself where I purchase something on my super secret anti-social account instead of this one.

What I did was removed my credit card info from that account, so being prompted to add a credit card reminded me that I needed to switch to this account. Actually, to be honest with you, it’s best to remove your credit card info after each purchase. I’m not paranoid about hackers, but Xbox LIVE ain’t Fort Knox. Best to play it safe. And having to stop to enter your info every time should be enough of a hassle for you to make sure you’re using the right account.

It’ll go to whichever gamertag the card is linked to. Basically wherever the game goes, all the content will too

So there’s no way I can get the req pack on my main? And you’re probably right, I should remove that credit card info.

I’m curious why you would pay for two accounts like that. Unless occasionally someone else uses the other, wouldn’t it be easier to just set yourself to appear offline when you feel like not dealing with people?

For me personally it’s because one of them isn’t mine.

It’s free to have two accounts. I share LIVE on my console.

Also appearing offline doesn’t always work. If I’m playing the MCC, friends won’t see me as being online on their dashboard, but if they launch the game, it’ll show me in there in the lobby.

I think you have to have Xbox live. Just go to the Xbox store and search for it. You’ll need to link your Xbox live account with your credit card.
