I’ve been part of this community since Halo 2, should you give a crap? No, and good on you for not. But if it’s one thing I’m familiar with is knowing the kind of hate threads will show up.
Side note, the tarp thing… you guys have just gone crazy.
Anyway, I have a prediction about CSR and some… concerns. It is viewable from any PC that has a internet connection, which I hope most of you have. But also from a mobile device and tablets. So here’s my questions about that.
Let’s say I have having a blast online in a Ranked playlist and I’m going from game to game. Can I expect Waypoint to update quickly and most importantly in the interim between games?
What happens when I want to play Ranked but there is something going on with the Waypoint stats? Or the page is down? How will I view my ranking?
What about people who don’t have access to another device to view stats in real-time? Are they simply SOL?
And lastly…
If my friends don’t have a device available, should I look up their rankings?
Welcome to the wonderful world of unnecessary annoyances brought to you by 343i and Halo 4.
Yes you are supposed to have, at all times, a smartglass device near you to check your progress. I believe somewhere they have said it will update real time… but don’t quote me on that one.
Either way, there’s still not going to be a way to view your opponents ranks until after the game, still no way to get the instant gratification of seeing your rank improve in the post game lobby, still no way to show others what you have worked for. It’s ridiculous.

That was the point of the thread. To show how out of the way the CSR system is. Quitters and derankers will be in any game, so its a folly attempt to think hidden ranks will persuade them not to do that.
The sooner that is realized, the sooner CSR will be visible in game.
The sooner you realize that visible in-game CSR isn’t possible, the sooner you’ll stop making threads about it.
Having it visible in waypoint is our only option. Better to have it in waypoint than nowhere at all.

Of course its possible lolololol and its what should be done. Will they do it? No, it has been made clear that they will not. We can only hope they learn from their mistakes and do the right thing for H5.
Choose your words more carefully.

But has it really been made clear? They said the Mantis wasn’t going to be in MM before the announced the remake of Valhalla.
My prediction for CSR.
Annoying kid camping with shotgun all game. After the game he annoys me so much i ask for a 1v1.
His response ‘I have a level 50, im too good for you’
I know its kind of shooting it down before it already happens but here’s what i dont get.
Firstly there’s already a true skill match making system. It’s definitely there, may not be present all the time. If i play in a 4 we often get paired with 4’s and 3’s who know what they’re doing.
Secondly www.halotracker.com already assigns a skill to a win loss ratio and has detailed stats. Interesting how 343 have never advertised this, from what I’ve seen. There is NO need for CSR, I’ve been tracking my stats for a couple of months now.
I hate to be someone to shout and point ’ Its all a conspiracy’ but something isn’t right

LOLOLOLOL. According to BS Angel, they do not have the proper UI nor resources to implement VIGR. This means it is not possible for them to implement VIGR given the lack of proper UI and resources.
Get over it dude. I understand your butthurt. Picking apart how I word phrases isn’t going to help your cause. It’s done. They are never going to implement them into Halo 4. Stop deluding yourselves. You’re just wasting your time thinking about it.
If they had a solid enough reason to not include VIGR in Halo 4, what makes you think they will change it for Halo 5, if there even is a Halo 5? Halo 5 would be on the next gen systems which are projected to sell poorly due to very little graphical improvements over the current gen systems.

Do you have a link for this? I’ve heard it said before but have never actually seen it. I’d search but Waypoint has a horrible search option.

First off, Next gen system reviews mean absolutely nothing right now. We know hardly anything about them and what we do know is still being tested and reworked. To say they are “projected” to have low sales is one; not a projection, it’s an assumption and 2; a terrible assumption at that. With our current gen systems entering their 8th year of service, and the electronics and e-world evolving more and more every day, the companies need something to bring to the table. Now, as far as graphics go, they may not blow our current gen out of the water, but that’s not the focus. The focus is interactive gameplay and modern intergration of apps/social networking/gaming combined, which both the PS4 and Xbox Infinity are sure to provide with full force (Nintendo hasn’t given any word yet about a new system, but plenty more games have been announced to hopefully pull them out of their current funk).
Secondly, there are little few reasons as to why there is no VIGR in this game. The main being that Frank O’Conner hates ranks and has the delusional thought that cheaters/boosters ruined halo 3 for everyone and that’s why the game was a failure (not an exact quote). Other than that, there is no reason it isn’t visible in game other than laziness. The UI coding is something lacked, it’s something difficult to change. It would take hours and hours of work to get a visible ranking system implemented, but it’s certainly possible. They would much rather do it on Waypoint where it’s easier to run through the code line by line and implement it. Their reasoning for this could be any multitude of options, but I’m going with the idea that they are already deep at work on Halo 5, which will more than likely come out with the Xbox Infinity in October.
Anyway, it doesn’t matter. Just wanted to point those things out.

I’d like to point something out as well:
Analysts project next gen consoles to sell poorly. This article came out well before the Wii U hit shelves, and they are spot on with their projections. Let’s see how things turn out with Xbox Infinity and PS4.
In regards to VIGR, we’re going with that ol’ argument “anything is possible” eh? Yes it is technically “possible”, but highly improbable. They have already stated that it’s not feasibly possible with current resources. Like you said it’s “possible”, but they would rather allocate resources elsewhere.
> The sooner you realize that visible in-game CSR isn’t possible, the sooner you’ll stop making threads about it.
People continue to make threads about it because they are dissatisfied with 343i’s half-hearted attempt to appease the competitive community. CSR provides an incentive to keep playing. People care about CSR when it is part of their game experience. Halo Waypoint is not part of the game experience. Not part of the game, not an incentive. It’s just a waste of time.
> Having it visible in waypoint is our only option. Better to have it in waypoint than nowhere at all.
Better to not have it at all, then.
