…does this mean that an item that is gold or purple rarity wont be coming back any time soon? Leadbelcher in the shop right now is all gold, (legendary i think is what its called). Is the reason why its so expensive is because it’ll likely not return for a very long time? The rarity thing for cosmetics is really confusing. I have microsoft rewards points so i dont really feel bad for buying the bundle since it didnt cost me any real world money, but i did it because i thought it would never come back to the shop. Did i fall for the FOMO? Thoughts?
So far everything that has been in the shop hasn’t come back yet no matter the rarity since the game released. So the FOMO is completely valid.
In my opinion I think that that after the items have been in the shop they should be lowered and at a discount. The reason being is because a few weeks later the individual items would be available to buy but they would be roughly 50 credits more.
I say its application is meant to make its respective items appear “more cooler” (intentional), and therefore more desirable, and therefore more pricier.

IMO, it’s all beefstew, and they (or the 343 of its time) did it better in Guardians which used a loot system. The appeal of cosmetics, and tools of destructions spoke for themselves and were chancier to get the higher the color rarity.
Dropping 20 bucks on an armor set, skins, charms, etc. says less; it’s just that, whatever value you place on those items.
Thats completely false. several bundles have come back and been on sale. and back when they had dailies most of the dailies were repeated multiple times. Thats why I dont buy anything thats not on sale now. I bought at least 3 $20 bundles that came back for like $12
In response to OP I would say wait. We cant know for sure that it will come back but there are 2 or 3 more weeks of this fracture and I doubt they have enough cosmetics to offer something new every week of the event.
Im planning on buying it for 1000cr on sale the final week of the event. only if they add at least one cool eaglestrike armor coating to pair with it because all the eaglestrike colors are lame so far. If the 1700 bundles doesnt come back or isnt on sale when it does than oh well I missed out
An item that is legendary or epic means they can charge you more money to buy it. It has nothing to do with how often you can buy it and how special it is.
It’s called marketing.
It’s a digital item. We’re not talking about something actually rare here.
I think that they are well on their way to setting up a new form of REQ Packs.
I mean, item rarity is typically done in loot-drops or in loot-box randomizers.
Since there is no weapon rarity like in Borderlands, Destiny, or Fortnite; this must mean that this shop system is temporary and we will soon see REQ Packs make their return.
