After reading the latest update I have to ask, when Halo Infinite becomes obsolete (a new Halo is released) how many cores are we going to have? <.<
From what I read I’m guessing we’re getting two new cores every new season? Isn’t that a bit messy?
I would much rather have a “regular+store” core, a season pass core and a fracture core. Well actually I would rather have only one but at this point I think that’s not happening so 3 seems totally reasonable instead of 20+ cores in 10 years…
Halo Infinite is planned to be the main Halo title we get over the course of the next decade. We may see a spinoff here-or-there on ocassion, but as it stands right now we are going to have this game for a decade. Which means we may see an armor core or two per season.
So I would guess that we may have something like 24 mainline armor cores and 12 fractures armor cores.
10 year project, 4 seasons a year, 2 cores a season. 80 cores? Qik maths. Jk. Although in all reality it probably won’t be that high something like 20 is reasonable, they’ll probably end up doubling down on older cores.
The reason they’re going to keep adding cores, for fractures in particular, is becuase what they want to add doesn’t line up with what is currently there. Any new fracture will require a new core to support it, as the WWII era looking Iron Eagle won’t fit onto Yaroi and vice versa, And making a new core to support 5 armor sets is probably easier than it sounds than trying to force those 5 armor sets to work with the Mk. 7, but that’s pure speculation.
I wonder how long it will be until Halo Infinite re-imagines the Fractures Belos, Blackguard, and Drengr armors from Halo 3 MCC and brings them over to Infinite’s customization?
