The idea is a $40 “Customization Pass” (or some other, better name). It is a 1-time fee offered only to the people that also own the campaign, essentially making the full Halo: Infinite experience a $100 value. Here is what it gets you:
1- Daily item drops from the previous week’s shop items spread over a 2-week period (maybe even after a longer delay)
2- The shop is now 75(?)% off (for if you want something immediately, rather than in as much as 3 weeks time)
3- All premium battle passes are unlocked
4- You are offered the premium battle pass price of $10 for double xp for the duration of the battle pass you bought it for
Obviously this idea could and should be highly critiqued and polished, but in general I would theorize that a lot of people that refuse to use the store would pay $100 for the full, uninterrupted Infinite experience. The guarantee to unlock everything over a slow burn period is, at least to me, a lot more enticing than the current state of the store. I want to support 343 and I want to support Halo, but the current value proposition of customization is incredibly disappointing. This one time, larger, static fee that still requires you to come back and play Halo in order to get everything would be a big improvement.

From a business perspective they’d be losing way too much money. Especially with the 75% off thing every $20 pack becomes $5. Everyone would buy the pack and some people would save hundreds of dollars
Like I said, it should be critiqued and polished. But you have to also consider how many people that would otherwise buy nothing are suddenly giving them $100 + any of the other things they happen to buy at the discount. And you could even throw out the discount altogether so if someone wants something immediately they’ll just pay the full $20 (Edit: the point of the discount is really to try and find the line of where people who bought this pass would be willing to buy in the shop now as opposed to waiting however long. I just threw out 75% as a guess)
I like your idea overall and yeah obviously it needs to be heavily tweaked. Making an option for those that payed for Campaign to get everything in multiplayer is a good idea, prices would need to be higher for 343 to even consider it though unfortunately

They would never go for a system that generous. They want to milk players over the long haul, not give them a complete and comprehensive experience for a one time fee, even if they could charge us a quick and easy $100.
Microsoft wants to catch whales. Normal people were never intended to get the more premium stuff.
A system like the one you suggest would only work for them if the price was around $300 or so.
I like it, but I doubt they’d ever do it. Though I think they need to give Campaign owners a discount for the shop and Battle Passes. We are buying the $60 Halo Experience and only getting half of it since the MP is now F2P, but at the same time being charged even more money for features and items that would have been available from the start in previous titles. Right now Campaign buyers are getting majorly screwed. Especially if we pre purchase on PC through Steam or the Microsoft store as we don’t even get the Pre Order bonuses that retailers have for physical copies.
I hope they do something cause as is 343 is really screwing the actual Halo fans here who are in it for the story as well as the MP.

That might be the case, but I mean the only reason it appears generous is because of the context. If Infinite was announced as a $100 game that still included microtransactions people would have lost their minds, arguably worse than they already have about the state of the game currently
