A promise for you 343

You claim you want community feedback 343, so here is some! If you release the beta for Halo 5 (aka from what I’ve seen, COD repackaged with Spartans) before fixing MCC, I am 110% not buying anything with your name, Xbox, or Halo on it ever again. You released an unfinished broken product that is STILL not resolved and to split your time and money on another product is unprofessional and disheartning. Yes, I am a major detractor now. The window to turn around a hardcore loyal halo fan like myself is so tiny at this point, that I might as well plug it with whatever remaining respect I have for myself.

Cool, brah

wow… don’t even give them a second chance

sigh people in this community think so linearly and are so narrow minded…

Now tell me, how in the world is this like CoD? The whole arena gameplay core of Halo is COMPLETELY different!

Now, I’m not fully with this guy, I love Halo forever, but you can now zoom in your guns like they can be zoomed in, in CoD, Battlefield, and like some other shooter games.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.
Remove sprint - I pre-order right away, just on principle.

No, the guy has a point, even if not the most elegantly put. If they care about the people they -Yoinked!- over with MCC’s launch, they should fix MCC before releasing the Halo 5 Beta.

wtf

I agree with this post. The overall betrayal and lack of multiplayer capabilities are so not Halo. Halo put Xbox on the map with it’s multiplayer. Ranked, skill based matches, that really put you to the test of your abilities without a preset loadout.

H4 did not have this.
MCC does not even have the ability to search in a party lollllllll
H5 does not look to be true to the old model either.

Hardcore Halo fans are being dragged through the mud imo

{-∞ ≤ X ≤ 0} where X = how much I (and others) care about you threatening to never again buy a 343 product if they don’t have MCC fixed before hosting the beta. Honestly, this thread achieves NOTHING.

And you’ve already lost this battle. 343i and MS have already announced that they WON’T be pushing back the beta. Period.

If you don’t want to buy it, don’t.

Then don’t buy it. Problem solved…

Are you limited?

Which is valid. CoD repackaged with Spartans is not.

Yeah, lets just forget Halo CE where the developer themselves said that the multiplayer was an unexpected last minute decision, which one can argue was broken (i.e. pistols and bad spawns). Because I know when I bought an Original Xbox it was because Halo CE multiplayer put it on the map.

There is another half of the game that exists and most casual players pick up Halo for the campaign. Which helps to explain some of the long term population issues with the last few Halo games. This doesn’t exclude 343 from trying to give you the best multiplayer experience around, but the campaign is the biggest selling point (even for most, but not all, hardcore fans). We tend to ignore the tremendous job Bungie and 343 has done to create a interconnected, coherent universe (whether you like it or not, you can’t deny they have done a good job).

The story is, and will continue to be, what puts the Halo Franchise on the map. The day when Halo’s story dies is truly the day when Halo dies.

I’m not excusing the bad MCC launch or if you didn’t like H4. I’m simply stating that I feel like the Halo forums are inhabited by only the hardcore fans (duh). That being said, I observe that we do not see the other side of coin. Obviously 343 is a business (which they have gotten a lot of flak for lately, but when you put millions into an investment you need a profit) but even so that doesn’t mean that they can’t put their hearts and souls into the game. Yes they are in it to make a profit and we are going to see that reflected in the end product being as they will try and cater to the more massive casual market. That is why we are getting things in multiplayer that resemble, but do not operate the same as, other massively popular games. They honestly do care about this hardcore community and are trying to balance the two mostly conflicting viewpoints because they do need to make a profit to feed their families (Microsoft’s money comes after employee paychecks). That doesn’t mean they aren’t going to try to give us the best product they possibly can. 343 isn’t sitting on a pile of cash laughing at us while the casual gamer market brings in the dough. We see them trying to strike that balance with the esports focus and their claim that they are returning to the arena game play of old with the newer ‘modern’ features.

And why are people crying like babies over it? Cause they’re a bunch of ungrateful little brats thats why.

He’s right, though. The MCC should’ve worked in the first place, but 3 weeks after lunch and it still isn’t working as it supposed to.

Oh he’s right alright. It’s the way he acts.

And i think someone doesnt know that the majority of TMCC was outsourced to and slap together by other companies. 343 is mainly focused on H5 main and the beta build. If youre gonna complain, complain about all parties involved not just one.
