Ok, first off I’m liking the new update and this has nothing to do with the weapons but something I’ve noticed is on some maps (like Exile) there is sometimes way too much stuff going on during the match (btb) and the game starts to get system lag. This isn’t because of your connection either this has to deal with the xbox 360 itself. There’s too much going on for the system to process so the game ends up jumping around. Not enough RAM.
I found the quickest fit is you have to drop your tv down to 480p. Anything that is in HD will overload the system and its processing. A few people I know and myself had to do this so the game wasn’t jumping around for us.
So, 343 could you look into this and maybe, fix it please? I’m guessing you’ll have to remove some elements on the map such as weapon spawns, vehicles, etc. I’m sure I’m not the only one getting this problem. Would help if Microsoft would put a decent amount of RAM into the 360 but 512MB just doesn’t cut it when it comes to these games anymore.
I’ve not noticed this in Halo 4.
I used to notice it in Reach sometimes though (especially Glacier Firefight).
It’s not like firefight was. There’s no input lag but it’s the system itself that can’t keep up because of all the things happening on the screen. There’s too much for the system to handle so it jumps around. Nothing to do with your internet connection. Think of when you buy a pc game and there are certain requirements you need to play that game. If you don’t have those requirements then the game will not play properly or won’t play at all.
Really the only way to fix it since the xbox has a set amount of RAM is to take things out of the map so there is less strain on the system.
Unfortunately this is the result of maxing out old hardware. The only fix for this will be the Xbox One and Halo 5.
No, I know what you meant. I wasn’t talking about general lag either, I meant my xbox seemed to stutter and have screen lag sometimes playing on the Glacier Firefight map because I think it was requiring too much out of the xbox hardware sometimes.
But like I said, I haven’t come across it yet in Halo 4.
