The thing that I love the most in halo is the warthog, ever since halo one and the maw I have been enamoured by its presence. That being said I always play big team battle so I can play on maps with the hog. However halo 4 has taken the fun away.
Last night on an exile I led my friend to a 59 and 5 game with the gauss hog but it left me very bored. Usually I have fun in the hog but alas I am not able to anymore. Why might you ask? Load outs, that’s why!
The fact that everyone can start out with a plasma pistol and plasma grenades ha ruined my experience. No longer can I attempt to splatter people and join in on the chaos with a chance of surviving, I am forced to stay at a distance because every man woman and child is equipped from the get go to lay waste to my beloved.
I like the game 343i but you have prevented me from loving it. Please give us drivers a incentive to not lose our keys and just hoof it on foot.
Saddens me to see no others share my concern
I love it aesthetically, but it’s just so freaking loud!! Sucks when Cortana is talking to you while you’re driving In the campaign because you can’t hear her!!
I completely agree. My first game on Exile I got 47 assists while the second I had 30-something. But once you play competent people it is tough to be as aggressive. The plasma grenade start is rough, but giving everyone a Plasma Pistol is a recipe to eliminate most Warthogs on most maps. Warthog drivers have to be extremely defensive and if you’re running a regular Warthog you are basically going to be used most efficiently by suppressing the enemy rather then killing. I understand it with the Gauss b.c. that thing is ridiculous but the regular Warthog seems like it won’t survive long on most maps
P.s. The sound/feel of the Warthog is the best in the series. It sounds like a monster that kicks massive HP to the wheels and it feels so smooth to drive.
The sound is amazing, it’s functionality is almost non existent. Drive towards a group of people you will have 7 plasma grenades on you faster than can honk the darn horn and cry “freedom”!
