A Playlist for DLC Achievements?

Everyone knows that, while four years old, Reach is far from being past it’s prime. That being said, there are relatively few players with the DLC, making it nearly impossible to get many of the DLC achievements today, given there isn’t even a DLC playlist. 343 is often adding new playlists and gametypes to Halo 4, which I appreciate that they are keeping the playing “fresh”, but why not take a little bit of time to create a DLC Achievements playlist? It could skip the voting and simply cycle through the maps required to get the achievements. Without boosting, which is impossible for people with irregular schedules, you will never in 100 years see an invasion game on breakpoint. I use that as an example because that is my last noble DLC achievement, and I am guessing the same is true for many others who cannot get this map to come up. I’ve done pretty much everything that the DLC achievements require to be done, but because of BS rules like the ones for Top Shot, I just can’t seem to get them. All it says is that you must get three consecutive headshot kills, but what is doesn’t say is that it has to be done between 12:00 and 12:01 AM, all must be 360 no scopes, and must be done on whatever map it is. Really? I am just wondering, how long would it actually take to put together this playlist? I am sure it would help enough people to justify the time taken away from another Halo 4 gametype. (Which I love, don’t get me wrong)

Halo Reach is barely (if at all) supported now except for server maintenance. Even the custom challenge feature is being removed in September. I think its safe to say that they way Halo Reach is now is how its going to remain.

I get that they are trying to cut it off, but they really shouldn’t be. it is getting at least as many players as Halo 4, and you will find countless threads looking for people to boost for these achievements. I understand why they would want to focus on other things, like the MCC and continuing to update 4, but I think it would be dumb to cut off Reach after 4 years. Halo 3 is 7 years old, and still (in my opinion) going strong. There are certain times that I find it easier to find people to play with in 3 than 4, and Reach even easier than 3.

343’s focus right now is on their new projects - Halo 4, The Master Chief Collection and Halo 5: Guardians.

It isn’t exactly common for developers to go back and have continued support for older titles outside of maintenance and bug fixes - Halo is no exception for this. Bungie stopped making changes to Halo 3 and Halo: Reach came out and 343 Industries stopped making changes to Halo: Reach after Halo 4 came out.

The DLC playlist in Halo: Reach was removed after a long trial period. At at point during the day, it had no more than 200 players in it.
