Ok i am pretty sick of nostalgia -Yoink!- idiots who think that the game should be slanted in the direction of people who pay constantly i.e better players, if somebody has friends over and they just want to play, but aren’t that good, when they play they shouldn’t be slaughtered and leave a match with 1 or 2 kills, they should have a fighting chance, not like reach but like Halo 3.
I think the way gameplay should work should be like halo 3 NOT the SAME as halo 3 but similar as people who don’t play as much had a chance, also i would like to bring back assassinations as they were very cool looking and fun but with the removal of yoink it would be much better.
for maps i would like to see remakes of different maps from the original trilogy such as sidewinder, ascension and Valhalla( blood gulch was plain) and for sure zanzibar/Last resort.

I have to agree with you somewhat, but the part about removal of yoinks is preposterous. It wouldn’t be fair would it if I did all the work and almost put the person to 1 shot, and then I have to watch the kill be ripped away from me by some guy trying to act cool.
I understand what you have to say but put yourself in the shoes of somebody who spots an unsuspecting player with a sniper you run behind him and get him with an assassination you launch the animation and seconds before you make the final precise stab to the lower back some idiot shoots your victim in the head and HE gets the kill, honestly it should be the person who does the mot damage in that situation that gets the kill.

Unfortuneatley there is no easy way around this problem as both arguments make sense. The only surefire way to fix it is to take assinations out, but the majority of the Halo playing community wouldn’t want that, including me. That’s the only solution I can think of, but hey I know nothing about designing games.
If you suck at the game it should be shown in the game. I don’t want to play a game where a guy with lower skills can still kill me.

If you don’t want someone stealing your kill, don’t hold the assassination button down and you will do a quick jab and it will be done. It’s part of the game, and either way, your team will get the kill. It’s always at your own risk.

dont you think that is unfair for people who play for fun? stop being to competitive and deal with the fact that other people can beat you who dont play 21 hours a day

Sorry, competetive gaming is for me the most important thing in games. I’m competetive in every aspect of my life and I won’t stop with this attitude in gaming. I love learning new skills and stuff in games and if a game is just super easy I stop playing it or just destroy most people so they don’t have any fun.

I think for this issue, 343i should make it so that the initial stab in the back doesn’t pop the shield. Taking Yoink’s out entirely is just ridiculous. It’s there as a potential consequence for not just tapping the melee button.
I think Halo 4 should be Halo 4.
Ultimately, 343 Industries have to make the game that they feel is the most Halo, and the most enjoyable. Everyone might not agree (some sure as hell wont) but ultimately, you find that a game the designers wanted to make is better than one they were forced into making.
It was the same with Reach, and it’ll be the same with every game after it.
Could and should they look to previous games? Without a doubt. But at the same time, it should be its own game. Halo 4. Not Halo 3.5, or Reach v2.
Halo 4.

I have nothing more to add to this, agreed.

But they beat him by outplaying him not because they’re bad at the game.
It makes no sense for a player of lower skill to kill the better player unless the more skilled player made a mistake.
