Hey guys a friend of mine and i have decided, instead of making a pointless rant or a peaceful protest type topic (because many of these have been ignored i think) that we are going to start a petition, this is to get the opinions of halo fans across in a way other than pointing out too many problems and raging or losing hope completely for halo 4, i for one believe that 343 did a good job in many aspects of halo 4 like the campaign and definitely spartan ops! But almost all the people i know absolutely hate halo 4 because of its multiplayer, now i’ve simply pointed out things that could be added and/or need to be added or removed in many peoples eyes. Please could you say here if you would like to become part of this? Hopefully this will get some notice as we are spreading this to bungie.net too for people that remain there and are also trying to get the notice of larger more noticeable areas of the community.
In case 343 notices this topic and reads through it i have listed things that are important and could vastly improve halo 4s multiplayer:
individual playlist section for classic slayer games/ just expand team throw down! (no ordnance, power weapons spawn in the same areas, no joins mid session e.t.c) Many people have said that they are unhappy with the current multiplayer inside and outside of my clan everywhere. Team throw down is pretty good and has certain game modes with no ordnance (if i am correct) but could be expanded so you could select which game mode to play specifically. they have already added modes that aren’t infinity slayer but make a separate section for them so those who don’t want to play infinity don’t have to. Because many people think the ordnance is very unfair and that it gives players an edge over others so another section for classic slayer modes would be great! e.g. everyone spawns with DMR or BR, someone gets a few kills gets a shotgun and then gets more kills, spawns a rocket launcher destroys all enemy vehicles without finding a power weapon on the map and their team wins the game, now i and many others miss the original halo multiplayer that did not work like that. Also power weapons could spawn on one teams side of the map and not the others and then the other way round making it unfair on one team that does not start off with great power weapons, i liked the original game modes where you had to rush for one power weapon or another and get there first and fight for it, this was much more equal and more competitive too.
no boltshot or any overpowered weapons in loadouts or at least make them less powerful. LOADS of people complain about this and it is quite unfair on people that haven’t unlocked them.
playable Elites and invasion. Many people are upset by the fact Sangheili are not playable and a canonical reason for fighting them in multiplayer is available (more than one).This has upset many in the spartan fan base too as they cannot fight a great enemy in multiplayer or custom games. Invasion was also really cool and was very popular.
more machinima friendly gameplay (like lowering weapons on xbox live) Many people have said that machinima making is harder and Elites are also useful in machinimas.
An Elite playlist section. This way Elite fans can play MM too! just like halo 3! An Elite and spartan playlist section would be even better.
Different scenery/structure types: like certain types of structure other than just UNSC, like covenant and forerunner. I think this would make forging much more awesome. Some other stuff like more diverse landscape like mountains and canyons in a map too.
These are many things we’d like to see happen to halo 4 and would make it so much more popular. We know not everything is possible because of certain map layouts and such and time and effort already being put into other things, but community maps could be a great place classic slayer, but please add at least a few of these things 343!
