Ah, yes, sweaty sweat sweat aim assist BR mode. Raw gun skills he said. Plug in a mouse, disable aim assist, then play for even more good fun handicap times
Iâm 100% ok with that. Players should get good. Not be babyied.
However I did say these things should be in the game. I want a game mode without them. Itâs not like I asked the complete removal of them.
With no power up pad winning a gun fight to get the power up is still a thing. What you are arguing for is the players who donât pay attention. Why should players who donât pay attention know where everything is at a glance? It worked in halo before. Itâs not like it hasnât
I actually want that too. I would love to play with no aim assist on controller. The harder the better.
Then really just unironically use a mouse in the menu and match for a second, and aim assist is disabled for until you close the game entirely
Interesting. I might try that
It supposedly works that way for joystick keyboards like Razer, Azeron, Hori, etc, so mouse wonât have aim assist, but it also works for people that play left hand controller right hand mouse. It also should keep aim assist disabled when you play normal controller if you really want that
Well I would want it in a game mode across the board for all players. I wouldnât want to give my self a disadvantage if no one else has the same disadvantage
I suppose it could be some custom toggle in Forge customs, but convincing 343 to add basically LASO Ranked might be hard to do. No HUD might be funny though
Halo 3 playlist made itâs way to Halo 5. It isnât a stretch to think something like the above could come. I do find it funny that it would be considered hardcore. That would make the entirety of halo 2 hardcore then
Again, my issue with your setup is that players can quickly and drastically increase their performance in the mode without any actual practice in game. Everything youâre claiming âmakes the game harder and means players have to practiceâ was true in 2001, but today simple Google searches completely negate everything.
Does the player who practiced their gun play more get rewarded because of these changes? NO!
Does the player who works on map knowledge get more rewarded because if these changes? NO!
Does the player who practices influencing enemy spawns get rewarded by your changes? NO!
Does the player who googled âLive Fire Weapon Respawn Timersâ get rewarded by your changes? YEA! Theyâll probably even have a timing edge over a player whoâs only practiced in game. â
And THAT is fundamentally why I dislike it when topics like this come up. Removing these timers in game doesnât reward anyone for practicing anything Halo/in-game related, only players using external tools, and therefore theyâre awful changes.
Iâm really confused here. It doesnât take practice to learn timing. You donât practice for that. You just do it.
If someone picked up the power up at 8:05 then the next time it would spawn is 6:05. With no pad you had to pay attention to the timer in order to know when it was going to spawn. With a power pad you donât need to do that making it easier for the player. Not harder. Timing takes skill. Not practice
Timing does not take as much skill as winning a firefight with other players in order to obtain a power item. Weapon pad timers facilitate players having to fight eachother for power items far more often.
No timer just means you want players who have played longer to stomp newer players with very little cost.
Weapon timers mean you donât get a free power item, you have to actually prove youâre better than other players to get it by defeating them.
Your changes literally lower the max skill ceiling to be effective at the game, because it will take less effort to obtain power items.
Again, THAT is fundamentally why I dislike it when topics like this come up. Removing these timers in game doesnât reward anyone for practicing anything Halo/in-game related, only players using external tools, and therefore theyâre awful changes.
for some reason i am thinking what for boring game mode this will become more if there going to do it also.
but do we not have SWAT game mode that has most off this stuff not.
Halo 3 mlg forge maps with nothing on the map but BRs wasnât boring
so you wane see more a Hardcore game type if i am right
