Should there be a Destiny-like game that revolves around the Halo universe? For anyone that doesn’t know, Destiny is a game being made by Bungie that will feature a free-roam type of universe where players can travel and protect our Solar System. They can encounter many different types of enemies, mysterious structures, and even other players. For detailed information on Destiny, I recommend checking out the channel called MoreConsole on YouTube.
I think that it would be amazing to have a Halo game where Spartans could group up in squads and take a Pelican (or a new vehicle) to different parts of the Halo universe such as Earth, any of the Halos, Requiem, and much more! And at those places the Spartans could fight the Covenant, the Flood, Prometheans, Brutes, or any other type of enemy. Just imagine you and your friends fighting an army of Flood and a lone-wolf Spartan comes out of nowhere to help you succeed in your mission! I’d love taking a Transport Warthog and driving around the beautiful nature on Requiem. Or taking part in a dog-fight in space! Possibilities are endless!
A free-roaming Halo game that plays similarly to what Destiny is supposed to be like would be a great advancement in the Halo series!
A free roam Halo game would be incredible and, knowing that Halo’s environments are deep and massive, wouldn’t be too farfetched. The mission in Reach “New Alexandria” gave us a small taste of it.

Hey, you’re right! New Alexandria was kind of a free-roam type of mission, though I was picturing space travel and the exploration of planets. I really hope 343 decides that competing with the soon-to-be successful Destiny game will be a smart decision so Halo fans can explore the universe together instead of just individual missions.
