While I’m not loving some of the major gameplay changes in multiplayer (indifferent to them, honestly), I agree that what 343i did in terms of balancing is a monumental achievement.
I’m finding myself agreeing with the ‘wall of text’ post above, the further i’m getting into the campaign, the less this is Halo to me, it’s starting to become very disappointing, and i really hoped and more so thought it wouldn’t be.

I was a staunch critic of 343i, but after playing three missions of the campaign (will finish sometime this week) and playing a bit of multiplayer, I think 343i have done an excellent job. My doubts have been washed away. Hell, my friends and I haven’t had this much fun with Halo since Halo 3’s custom games!

Agreed. Even without surround sound, everything sounds fantastic coming out of my TV.

I’m using an LG BH7420P 5.1 which was £550 and a very decent bit of kit, but the game still sounds terrible,
I know now with all the other people i’ve seen complaining about the sound, that it’s not me just being fussy.
I really enjoyed the fact where you said if someone gets a shot on you you can’t come back. Really skilled, I see. Go to CoD where the only shot that MATTERS is the first shot.

Yes the game is fully installed, and there’s nothing wrong with my audio set up,
I just think the sounds are awful,

Is your system calibrated? What audio setting do you have it on? Dolby, DTS etc… I’m a technician I may be able to help.

I have it on ‘personally tuned EQ’ , basically i set the Graphic up myself and i have it as best i can, it’s better than the pre programmed settings, but i’m pretty sure the guns and vehicles are just a crappy sound, as everything else sounds absolutely normal.

Nope, I’ve just tried the game through my SOL Republic headphones, and it sounds even better than before. Sorry, man, but I don’t know what the problem could be.
