I can’t wait until the issues are worked out in a few days and you waste $60 to re-purchase the game. See you then.
> Gee, I hate to hear you have a bad taste in change.
There is no change… Its now exactly the same as any other shooter.

Give me one (valid) example of how this game is exactly the same as any other shooter pl0x.

Well, as the soldier from TF2 says: “You Will Not be missed, MAggots!”
lol ok. black ops comes out next week.
good luck on that.

He’s in for a shock playing that piece of -Yoink- if he doesn’t like ‘I see you, I shoot you, I kill you’ games.
i actually do agree with the op. i was about to return mine 3 hours after i bought it. course at 3am nothing is open. yes it has cortana, master chief, and the covies. it is not halo. it is cod with custom skins. no matter how u look at it that is all it is. i havn’t even played the multi-player yet. now don’t get me wrong i like the cod games. when i want to play cod i play cod. when i want to play halo i play halo. mixing the two was a bad move. it really got me when i was waiting for my shields to come back up on the campaign and the covie nade fest happened. just like cod on veteran mode. not catch was not on either.
I was sold on the opening scene. No returns here.

You’re very uninformed…

Dear lord not this again…
comparing COD and Halo is like comparing apples and Oranges. Sure they are both fruit but they both have different characteristics! And wow. You didnt even play the multiplayer before jumping to a conclusion? (an inaccurate one at that.) Some how you managed to decide that the games are the same because of a nade fest?
So you returned the game because your not good at it and are blaming 343 because of your lack of skill? What a -Yoinking!- joke dude…
/facepalm
I also did not like Halo 4’s campaign. I know that a lot of people said that Halo 4’s multiplayer felt like Halo, but the campaign did not. I understand 343’s decision in testing the Master Chief and exposing his human side, but I don’t think they went about it the right way. There are a lot of issues that bothered me. I’ve been invested in the Halo lore for quite a while now and to see it take this turn was really upsetting to me as a gamer.
The opening vignette showcasing Dr. Halsey was AWESOME! I loved that part of the game. It looked so crisp and clean. I really enjoyed the cutscenes, however, when it reverted back to gameplay, the graphics took a nosedive. Does anyone else feel this way? I don’t want to sound like graphics are all that matter to me, because they don’t. Storyline is much more important to me than graphics, but I personally thought that Reach’s graphics were much better than Halo 4’s. I also enjoyed the ending (which I wont tell.) It set up rather well for the beginning of Halo 5…
But like I said before, the game did not feel “Halo” to me. Some weapons like the shotgun did not feel right in my hands regarding sound. And the warthog’s persistent, increasing drone was especially annoying. What do you guys think? Were there any weapons that felt a little off to you?
I also hated how the Chief was basically abandoned by his own military. The UNSC is supposed to have his back, but when -Yoink- hit the fan, the Infinity bailed out on him (sorry for any spoilers.) I know that the Chief is usually a one man wrecking ball by himself. That’s how it’s been for all the Halo games, but the fact that he finally made friendly contact after almost 5 years and then they just abandoned him when he needed them the most was extremely disappointing to me. Plus, Spartan 4’s have been created to REPLACE the master chief, who has been presumed dead. For me, that took a lot of well deserved attention away from the master chief. Especially a lot of attention away from him and his relationship with Cortana.
There was also some confusion regarding new characters and what exactly I was supposed to be doing during certain missions. I’m fairly well invested into the halo franchise beyond just the games. I knew about the Didact and the Librarian beforehand. But for a lot of new people or gamers who just enjoy matchmaking, this probably made them scratch their heads and wonder what the hell was going on. Seeing an angel-like figure coming out of some clouds to talk to the Chief was just really weird. It wasn’t Halo, which leads back to my original argument. I understand that those are huge, important elements in the halo fiction and they absolutely need to be introduced at some point in the campaign. But the way in which they did it did not seem right to me. I thought it was nice how 343 put in terminals in some missions to go in depth about Halo to people who might not be all to familiar with the franchise. I’m not sure if there was one for the Librarian or not… maybe I missed it. But anyways… what do you guys think? I’m interested to hear what your opinions are. I know that it’s too late to make changes now, especially to the campaign (obviously). I was very disappointed in the campaign, but I realize that I have to take it, digest it, and think about how 343 could do better for the next game. I haven’t tried multiplayer or spartan ops yet and I hope they play more like Halo; as I’ve heard they do. Please let me know what you think. I’d like to hear the opinions of others.
^ Holy wall of text. Please use paragraphs or NO ONE will read that.
If you look hard enough for something to complain about in ANY game. Eventually you’ll find it. I’m sorry you wasted you’re money and time, I’m loving the changes they made and am still kind of in awe at how they made them without destroying the competitive balance.
CoD is out soon bro… Maybe that’ll suit you better…
Don’t let the door hit you in the -Yoink-

You speak in generalities and prove that you don’t know what you’re talking about
Nothing up there about Campaign. It’s disappointing that so many people don’t pay enough attention to the most beautiful part of the game.

So you play one or two missions of the campaign at most, and jump to the conclusion that the game is a Call of Duty clone. Having finished the campaign, I honestly think it feels more like Halo 2 than anything.
I could see why some people would call multiplayer a CoD clone (though I disagree with them, it does borrow certain features), but the campaign is undeniably a Halo game. From the second I walked out of the cryo pod, I found myself remarking that strafing is possible again, movement speed is fast, and aim acceleration is barely noticeable at all. Later in the level I realized that aim assist was really low, and this combination of factors, along with sprint, led to the best feeling Halo campaign gameplay so far, in my opinion.
Does he need kleenex or is he done crying? This game is truly amazing.
