What if you could select a squad of Marines or a Spartan (covenant equivalents for the covenant) when in the bird’s-eye view and choose to play in First person mode as the unit you choose. I think it’d be pretty cool. Could have more broad approach for the near-to-realistic cutscenes.
BTW my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw that first cutscene in Halo Wars.

Just thought I’d clarify what you’re suggesting first, and whilst possible, it’s really unnecessary if you want to play FPS halo go play reach ect?
Yeah, I mean, I think it’d be cool. I liked the gameplay a little bit, but not a whole lot. I would’ve liked it more if it had some form of FPS mode in it. After all, Halo has always been a FPS. So I thought why not?
The point of halo wars was to make a good console RTS, it achieved this spectacularly and as a result is the best selling console RTS in history. if you don’t like the game play then halo wars isn’t the game for you. as you said there are already halo FPS games so play one of those?
