Alright so I came up with this idea awhile ago but now I finally remembered to put this on here.
So everyone knows that you can put special visual effects on halo reach games through forge right? I thought it would be an AMAZING idea if they replaced those old special effects for new environment effects.
Ok like you can put down a “rain” effect and on your map it would start raining, and a “snow” special effect would make it snow all over and possibly change the texture on most of your forge pieces. Other effects could effect the sky like make it have lighting cracking and a cloudy sky or something similar! Another special effect could be a night effect and make everything look like it did on the night mission on halo combat evolved.
Does anybody else agree that this would an amazing idea for 343 to throw in? In halo 3, bungee threw in forge mode because it was a last minute idea and they put it in the last month or so! Anythings possible if we try to get 343 to notice this 
The Xbox 360 isn’t a PC…it can’t handle that much.
Sure it could! Check out far cry instincts for the 360, the map editor is AMAZING and you can have it any time of the day, you could even change the background wildlife noises.
“Enviromental” effects are confirmed to NOT be in Halo 4 as stated by Frank O’Connor at RTX, sorry.
Halo 5 will bring us all the goodies with a new Console.

having the ability to re-skin a map on the forge is nothing hard, they managed to have TWO graphics engines running simultaneously in CEA for the whole campaign, and admit it, some of those levels are huge, so having the ability to change the ‘skin’ of a map with a forge option should not be too hard if you could be -Yoinked!- to paint the geometry and pieces with several skins
the real problem is disc space, not the console abilities.

Well it’s possible to change the special effects to environmental effects! Changing it could be like changing the nova effect for a raining effect on screen.
