I just read the word ‘Nekron’ regarding new enemies - i googled it and not much came up so it sounds pretty fake - anybody else heard of this species?

I have heard that spelled in 2 ways nekron and nelcron. What is a nekron/nelcron?
my bad, i meant nelkron. and there’s a few posts about it, all saying this thing about being an ancient forerunner enemy that can imitate life forms? i don’t know, im pretty sure some kid made it up and somehow actually created a myth, i was just wondering if anyone else has heard of this too.

I have never heard of this before now, but it does make sense. Some of the videos on youtube that i have seen show humans fighting humans this could explain that. I still doubt that this “nelkron” is an actual thing in the game though.
Oh I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. By chance, did you see this initially on Bungie.net? Because if so, that was just a fake rumor spread by a random -Yoink-. In conclusion though, they are not the enemies.

Yeah, the thread came up a lot when i searched it on google. I just noticed that you were in the thread too, and i assumed it wasn’t legitimate when he mentioned pages of glasslands which didn’t exist.

Yeah, pretty much every thread he made on the subject got locked and he was banned. It was all just a load of -Yoink-. I’m just glad folks aren’t falling for it.
Well not really having to do with the “Nelcron”, I have seen one Promethean that hasn’t really been touched on. If you watch some of the SOPS footage you can see a dog like thing with spikes on it’s back. It looked larger than a crawler. You also see it in the end of the campaign footage, during all thesiffefent footage.
