a NEw aspect for the CUSTOMIZATION of your spartan

I think that in Halo 4 you should be able to make a smaller, normal, or larger spartan. a Large spartan would be slower than others and be heavier than other spartans, but you would hit slightly harder, and have more push-back with your melee. An example would be if you were in cqc with another spartan on spire and you hit them, you would both be pushed back, but the smaller spartan would most likely be pushed off and fall to the bottom of the spire. and your assassinations would be different and involve more grappling and lifting and throwing compared to the smaller spartans.

then you would have your average sized spartans like the ones from halo reach, or halo 3.

The smaller spartans would be faster and more agile than the larger spartans, and would not be able to hit as hard as they could. their assasinations would be more stealthy in nature.

those are just my ideas. What do you think?

Interesting idea, but not exactly Halo’s style.

I dunno, it doesn’t seem like it would work well. If Reach proved anything, it was that pllayers do not like having everybody start with different abilities and different advantages/disadvantages. At least not in Halo. Halo 4 should stick to the base of Halo : every player starting out on equal grounds in every way, with only their skill and smart decisions to decide who the winner is.

I doubt we’ll see anything like this. If I remember correctly, Bungie went out and said that they would never make anything like this because we, the players, wouldn’t be equal, like Hotrod192 explained.

Sure, this was Bungie, but I’ll be surprised if 343i don’t follow Bungie with this one.

thnx for the feedback guys

not halo-ish

I thought of a similar concept, but instead only for elites specifically like this:
Elites
Tall or short(differences being obvious,it would involve things assassination wise, etc.)
Spartan-II
Heavy or medium armor (like comparing Jorge’s armor to MC’s,also spartan-II’s can dual wield, seldom use of equipment even though i personally am against the use of equipment, moves/treks normally or faster than that of a spartan-III as they don’t require use of sprint and such.
Spartan-III
-There is no choice in armor change or height (they merely excercise the use of AA, same/similar customization of reach, cannot dual wield, etc.

I had more ideas, But I can’t recall all of them Too many people disliked 'em anyways.

@BlAARG EM

Actually, the spartan-IIIs were faster than the spartan-IIs. the only reason that you couldnt duel-wield in halo reach was because the Mark V’s targeting computer couldn’t track the use of 2 weapons. And Noble team and other elite Spartan groups were used to field test experimental equipment like the AAs. And what is ironic is that the Spartan-IIIs were better trained than the 2s. the only REAL difference between them is that the 2s were all issued mjolnir armor

Everyone should start with exactly the same settings. It wouldn’t feel like Halo if everyone started differently (Reach is a good example).

I wouldn’t mind this for Invasion though as Invasion is meant to be a class-based gametype as there are no weapons on the map except for the odd power weapons.
