So I’m confused as -yoink- right now.
And I really want 343 to fix this CSR system.
So about a week ago, I came 2nd in an FFA game. I went 19 to 4. A 3.8 KD.
I came second.
I am Onyx
The person in first and 3rd were also Onyx. And yet, my CSR fell.
From a high KD in second place.
So now…
I have another game. I went 16-18 (Screw you US servers!)
And I also came 4th. My CSR went up!
So going 19-4 going second makes my KD fall.
And going 16-18 going forth makes my CSR raise.
WHAT.
Just explain how that makes sense.
Someone, explain.
And don’t give me any “the person you lost to was a higher rank in the game your CSR fell” because we were both Onyx.
343, fix this system.
343: This new CSR system is soon great it’ll blow your mind! You get ranked up for going negative while your team carries you! Even when you don’t have a team you’ll still get credit for going negative. But don’t even think about being good at the game and getting kills, we’ll punish you!
None of this has actually happened to me but a lot of people are talking about it so yeah.
Don’t feel bad, Season 1 in Swat I won 6 games and lost 4 and went mostly positive and got Onyx. This season I won 8 game of 10 and did even and got Platinum. Like what kind of system is this.
What was your beginning CSR in that match and 1st, 2nd CSR? My guess is 1st was ranked lower than you and he beat you. In the other situation when you were 4th they were higher than you.

Even if he was lower, why wouldn’t my CSR go up?
It’s not often you get a killing frenzy in Onyx FFA…
Has happened to me from time to time. Its based on win loss vs the opponents rank. Ive gone 5th before and i actually went up because everyone in the lobby was much higher rank, so i loss less for lossing to higher people and gained more for beting someone much higher than me.
Ive had horrible kd games and gone down, and highly possitive kd and gone up. I think there is some corrilation but there is no causation. If you have a better kd in ffa chamces are your in the upper ranks within that game and vice versa.
At least usually when i play the top few are either almost neutral or oositive.

Wothout looking at said game stats, i am going on a limb and guessing the people you beat were much lower than you to the point you didnt gain a while lot, but the dude who beat you was lower than you so as a result lost more because you were a higher rank.

There were only 4 people left in the game.
1 was unranked.
3rd place was Onyx
I was onyx
1st was Onyx.
All I remember is we were similar CSRs.
I don’t understand why my CSR would fall with that.

As I already explained, your adversary who you lost to, had a lower Onyx CSR than you. Doesn’t matter that you both were Onyx ranks, one will be lower and the other higher in the Onyx rank itself.
