A Necessary Change to Challenges

Since the Playlist Update seems to be the start of addressing the problems with the challenge pool, I figured I’d throw out a pretty important change that I think should come sooner rather than later.
I don’t think there’s any real reason to gate the number of challenges the player can progress at one time, and it’s implementation lends credence to the conclusion that it was a part of a system built to incentivize challenge swaps. Forcing players to do things they might not want to do, or demanding of them things that might be significantly more challenging that a conventional challenge should be, is, unsuprisingly, a detriment to the experience.
In fixing this, 343 can either completely ungate challenge progression, letting players progress all challenges simultaineously, or allow players to choose which challenges are active. This would allow players to choose challenges that correlate to activities and playstyles they enjoy, while still preserving the time investment to completeing a capstone challenge.

Feel free to discuss.
