A much better gameplay experience for Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2?

With 343 Industries did a really good job fixing the graphics from the Halo Combat Evolved Classic version and the Halo 2 Classic version including bringing back the Classic HUD from the original Halo Combat Evolved Xbox version, would you say that both Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2 finally have a much better gameplay experience on the Halo Master Chief Collection especially when it comes to the campaign levels?

Halo 2 still suffers from a number of visual bugs that don’t mirror legacy. Input lag for networked coop is still horrible for both. Don’t get me wrong I love the visual fixes, but I don’t really see how fixing the visuals will improve the gameplay for the campaign?
