Reach has been covered quite a bit at this point, I’d prefer other things get some attention.
I’d rather not. Reach is a horse that’s been beaten to death and then beaten as a dead horse repeatedly. We don’t need yet another form of media explaining what is literally the most straightforward and uninteresting part of the Halo Universe: Everyone got deaded planet got burned. Earth last stronghold. I refuse to allow anymore resources to be wasted on a moot point that has nothing to do with the modern Halo Universe.
I would rather have a movie or any Halo media about Humanity’s early expansion days or the Interplanetary War because it is one of the few story arcs in Halo that has not truly been covered yet. And yes, i agree with pretty much everyone here that Reach story arc is pretty much been covered over and over and over and over again and i would rather not wasting resources on another Reach-related media especially since the last one we’ve got was terrible

The animated movie was god awful though, wouldnt mind a good rendition of the book halo fall of reach becayse it is the core of halo lore.

The fact stands that the story has been told so many times that regardless of how good the movie might be, there will be people who simply don’t want to see that story again. I think it would be much better to focus on new stories instead of retelling the ones we already have.

For fans, yes. But i think it would be a good way to gain new audience. Simply name it Halo, hopefully people assume it’s about a super soldier saving the world, only to see that humans lose. Pick up the story with spartans already developed and keep their backstory (and Halsey’s involvement) a mystery that is slowly revealed/hinted at. The question is how to make people want to go see the movie without spoiling/correcting that assumption.
But that’s in an ideal world where video game-based movies are actually good. I rather not ruin the image of the franchise.

I wasn’t disputing facts. I understand many will feel the story does not need to be retold again but i wouldn’t mind a 6 part tv show actually physically showing the fall of reach, especially as no film has recounted the full story from the first halo book.
New stuff would be interesting but I find the new lore a bit less interesting.
I would love to see the retelling of each book in a TV series with each book being a season, eventually ending on the Kilo-Five Trilogy/hunters in the dark.
I would also like to see movies on the forerunner trilogy. The main reason being i want to discuss halo lore in books with people but they are too lazy to read the books so a film would get them to watch it.
