Hi all. I’ve been checking out these forums for a couple weeks and I really would like to put my 2 cents out there.
Let me quickly preface by saying that while no game is perfect, Halo 5 has brought me back from total apathy of a genre I used to play almost exclusively, and for that I’m thankful. Cuz I forgot how much fun shooters could be.
Is this game perfect? Obviously not, but perfection is an ever-moving abstraction. What this is, though, is a damn good game.
When I get on these forums I’m really bothered by the type of toxic environment that seems to permeate. I see thread after thread declaring how terrible this game is, and demands for reparations. And half of it is nonsense.
In all of my tens of thousands of games of halo I’ve maybe played 50 games of infection. And I’m probably not alone. So they didnt add it. The hammer is probably the worst power weapon in cannon, and brutes aren’t even in the game. But 343 gives them to you guys anyway, and all I see is post after post complaining about it taking too long?
All of this is my round about way of saying, how about we try to be less like petulant, entitled children and instead voice our disappoints in constructive and thoughtful ways.
