A more arena based multiplayer for Halo5

No kill streak weapon drops
Small and heavy weapons on map
More maps that are made to play well and not make sense.

By my last point, im talking about maps that have geometry that doesn’t necessarily make sense for a location, Im talking about maps like warlock, beaver creek, hang em high. Like random geometry.

Haven, Adrift, Solace, Skyline, Landfall, Abandon, Lockout, Monolith, Pitfall, Vertigo, Onyx and Simplex not enough for you?

Maps aren’t the problems with “Killstreaks”. If you don’t like rockets or gravity hammers on certain maps that’s not a problem for everybody. Forge your own variant if you wish.

Yeah but he’s talking about Halo 5 here, so all those maps don’t matter. Plus, I don’t think the OP is saying that rockets and gravity hammers are a problem. In fact it seems like the OP is saying, “small and heavy weapons on the map”.

Yes, there can be changes made in Forge, but that doesn’t solve the issue of wanting/needing these things in MM.

>Weapons/power ups on map
>No killstreak type thing
>Symetrical maps
>Equal spawning conditions
>No loadouts
>Energy Swords galore

I can’t disagree with any of this.

Random geometry? I doubt you would enjoy a map that is designed with random geometry.

Anyway, I guess what you are addressing/suggesting is that the constructional theme of the map should have priority and not its aestethical theme, what I can fully support.

Removing Personal Ordnance/killstreaks is another point I agree with.

Small and heavy weapons on the map, yes, but I think they should be placed with thought. The natural flow of the map should “lead” you to the weapons. The player shouldn’t have to “search” them.
I am not much of a fan of loadout weapons on maps though, since they often lead to interruptions of the map flow since they tend to get placed around the rest areas and I think enough ammo and weapon variety on the map can also be achieve with a proper weapon loadout system (likely pre set).

The arrangements of the map have little relevance to what I consider critical “Arena” features.

No personal ordinance and no perks are the biggest things to me. I like personal choice and I like AA’s (conceptually, anyway) more than I like the holy grail of balanced starts. But that’s just me.

If equal starts came back in H5’s arena gametypes, then I hope they find a way to include a variety of weapons and not just BR-only starts because those are boring. Maybe arrange the starts according to map size - small maps = AR/Pistol starts, medium = BR/AR, and large get DMR/BR.

His post is so vague I don’t quite understand what he’s trying to say lol.

I think he’s saying that small weapons and heavy weapons should be on the map. By that I believe what he means is that loadout weapons and power weapons should be placed on the map and not in ordnance.
