So typically when a business or anyone drops numbers they detail specifics of what have made those numbers. It’s normally a way to showboat or to cover your -Yoink- and throwing up some numbers can be a good way to deter people along with the specifics so any doubt is gone. The problem is that when 343i announced the Warzone farming numbers actually decreases since Achilles has been available they didn’t give any of these specifics.
Now usually when a business does this, they’re trying to bend the numbers in their favor. In this case their favor is to not punish people in their community making it easier to be accepted. 343i hasn’t exactly had a great track record and they seem to be aiming straight for the Hardcore fans approval so any reason not to punish those people is good in their eyes.
The outcry for a removal of future Commendation styled rewards would hurt the Hardcore halo fans so it’s in 343i’s best interest to keep them happy. The casuals forget all to quickly, there is no better example of this then Destiny.
So I’m just going to give some specifics to see if 343i could possible try to sway some numbers in their favor or if they are telling the truth.
True Neutral is the mindset here. So neutral that while I was making this thread I debunked several of my own theory’s leaving against 343i. Just ot save you some -Yoink- I cut them out because there is a brain twister blow.
Theory 1: One of a few things that the numbers don’t account for are Halo 5’s screwed up system. When you join a game many times the game won’t have you wearing your own armor to other players and sometimes yourself, you can see this prominently while in Theater Mode.
The game considers anyone who joins a game in progress not to be a new player entering the field but the same guy just…different. This could easily lead to the numbers beings screwed but also not. It depends on how well you think 343i programmed Halo 5.
So if a guy leaves and the game replaces him Halo 5 technically doesn’t see the old person nor the new person there but just a placeholder of what he last guy was. Since the last guy quit the game doesn’t end for him and his statics might not be recorded accurately. What’s to stop the Halo 5 system to not include the amount of kills or deaths from the holder against or for anyone. This means that if someone leaves a game they could potentially become a neutral source of scores aka their kills and deaths won’t impact the KDA of anyone who affects their KDA in game creating semi ghosts running around the map with unrecorded data.
Another situation to throw this already confusing mess into crazy land is that the odds of you becoming one of these ghosts is random. Sometimes the game will count you as yourself other times you’ll be the person and even more unique times the game will literally change you from each person mid game. (I’ve experienced this personally and a for testing this with anyone here.)
If a Ghosts info isn’t recorded then technically the farmer didn’t get a kill on the person nor improving their KDA but they finished the game which still roles the amount of points you’ve gained into the overall system which COULD (that’s a big could if you didn’t catch on to that) totally destroy the system making it so kills and promotions to Achilles are being made BUT not recorded because of people leaving and being replaced by a ghost which would soak up the calculated and uncalculated totals for each player involved in the mess but the person who left the games score itself with be the uncatalogued proportions.
Summary-Ghosts might be created after a person leaves and screws up with the entire system making the farming numbers drop by numerical data but still actually happening. Basically it’s a loop hole in the system. -Yoink- tons of people are being farmed but they the data of people leaving could have multiple errors.
Theory 2: The number of players leaving and not being replaced could actually make it so more games are being farmed then before but since there are less people being farmed because they leave, it would lower the amount of people getting killed.
TL DR 343i probably didn’t calculate people leaving the game which can have a huge impact as seen above since the system is a machine and can break. Telling this machine to not only work with several others while doing an already hefty job isn’t exactly a -Yoink- job of allowing it to do so. If I am wrong then 343i should be highly commemorated for having so many bots being about to work so perfectly together despite there being so many opportunities to fail.
Anyway those are the surviving theories.
Any thoughts?
