What happened to the greens like Olive and Sage? I always loved using those colors on my Spartans because they made them look a bit more militaristic. It’s disappointing that all there is now green wise is just brighter colors.

I miss orange and a decent yellow myself. I cant set up the safety spartan with these colors.

I miss the greens… I also miss not being able to choose the colours for your emblem rather than picking one colour then having to choose from preset colours
I certainly noticed. Coming from a primarily RPG background the customisation aspect of Halo is quite an important one to me. The lack of any decent green colours means I’m now stuck with a plain Steel Spartan. I know I could go for Red, or Purple, or any number of colours, but every Halo game (including ODST) allowed me a decent Green to work with. Green is my favourite colour and it would just feel wrong to use something else after so long using Green.

I do wish there were more saturation choices for a given color. Honestly, a RGB slider would be a great feature vs picking from a lineup of a few. Could tweak to whatever you wanted.

I agree, this was the first thing that bothered me starting the game up to make my Spartan. They’re classic colors -Yoink!-!
What I believe is that the lead multiplayer designer didn’t like dark colors so he had them scrapped. Look at the IGN Q&A from a week or two before the game launched, that’s where I’m getting this from. I’ll find it and link it when I find it.
Edit: Found it. He’s the Creative Director, not mp designer, my bad.

Yeesh, no wonder the colour palette is bad. I mean, just look at this guy.
ya a good old OD green looks best but im not about to complain… ohh this green looks a few shades off
Colours are stupid easy to implement, they should have been considerably more.
It’s almost blasphemy to not have the original color shades to work with. On another note, a key emblem is missing, my GRUNT HEAD emblem.
