You know games like, Super smash brothers brawl, playstation all-stars or sonic and all-stars racing transformed. Where they have all of the main characters from their franchise battle each other to see who is best, wouldn’t it be cool if Microsoft did that
In the game you could have:
Halo - Arby and chief
Rareware- banjo and kazooi, conker, viva piñata animals
Gears of war- Marcus and a locust character
The super police from crackdown
The priest from Age of empire “WOLOLO”
Fable- the fable and the dog
The driver from the forza series
Dead rising- frank west, nick Ramos
Any ideas what the game genre would be?
RPG, racing, fighting, strategy etc
Edit:
splosion man
Battleblock theatre- Hatty
Blue Dragon- the blue dragon
Black & white- The god hand ( the little hand that you control and pick stuff up with )

I Love Gow to bits but i was playing sonic all star racing transformed at my friends when I got the idea, it’s really fun btw
Or you could do the opposite and make the other characters more epic
Microsoft’s roster doesn’t really lend itself well to the idea of a SSB-style fighting game or kart racing or sports games or crossover games in general. Keep them to their own games where they will excel, not try to shoehorn them into genres where they don’t belong.

Why don’t they do a game like Kingdom hearts were you travel to different gaming worlds and hang out with the characters rather than playing them?

Because none of the characters would really transition well into the kind of RPG that Kingdom Hearts is. You can’t just throw things together, held only by the notion of “fun” and expect it to work. That is one of the reasons Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale was a huge failure.

You don’t need to do the same style of super smash bros sony tried to do that it didn’t work, a lot of people saw it as a SSB clone. They could do what Microsoft publishes best, arena games. An arena based brawler could be a good representation of Microsoft and also having it be a arena fighting game rather than a 2d platforming fighting game, makes it unique enough not to be a SSB ripoff
Crossover games really don’t need to worry about characters being in the same game just as long as the gameplay is fun. Old rareware fans would love playing as their beloved characters one last time.
