When Halo 4 released we were all very excited to get our hands on this wonderful game(personal opinion). But a lot of the community didn’t like the changes 343 added to Halo 4 and stopped playing very soon. 343 noticed this and did a lot of changes and improvements to make the Online Experience a lot better. I know there are still things not correct and there are still things missing like descope but they can’t add that anymore. Still 343 shows they are listening and are still updating the game weekly with new changes and extra’s but a lot of people don’t seem to know or see this.
I want to ask the Halo Community to try Halo 4 again right now to see what changd. I know there are a lot of people with the nostalgic virus and will be hating at this thread about Halo 4 so please don’t because it won’t help anything. This also means for the 343 haters and bungie lovers. But I want to say one thing to the Bungie lovers. You guys do know that half of 343 is old Bungie and that Bungie started to go in the direction of Halo 4 right? I’m not being offensive here but I just wanted to say this.
The changes Halo has gotten, especially in Halo 4 aren’t all bad, but I do agree that Personal ordnance, rand ordnance and Flinch are bad additions to the game, also plasma pistol, plasma grenades and boltshot in loadouts suck too. 343 just added some new gamemodes that don’t support loadouts or ordnance and they brought back Legendary BR’s.
But Halo 4 is the most fast-paced Halo game and that is something I really like about halo 4. It keeps the action going and makes the game more intense and more fun in my opinion. But what I wanted to say is that a part of the community is destroying Halo and doesn’t make Halo 4. The population is extremely low and that is something Halo 4 doesn’t deserve. Sometimes you need to adjust to some of the changes and sometime you don’t but you have to learn to accept sprint because they probably won’t remove it.
What I really want to tell you guys is that if you want to get something done you should work together and give friendly, normal and detailed feedback towards 343 instead of hating on 343 and other community members because this is what destroys Halo. Instead of quiting the game entirely try playing it in small doses so you can have fun sometimes instead of leaving the game death.
Some side information I want to give you guys is that Microsoft wanted 343 to rush Halo 4, so this why there wasn’t a Beta and Microsoft wanted to get COD players in Halo 4 so this is why there is Personal Ordnance and Random Ordnance. So don’t blame 343 and be NICE for ones towards a developer.

Look dude, I want to, I really really do. But without a local only search option I just can’t play the game. I just can’t. After 10 years of this BS that has now become the standard I don’t bother putting time or effort into multiplayer games that lack this feature.

i certainly tried but honestly i like old halo best. i would probably play more if legendary slayer was still here and team throwdown wasnt dlc only but it is what it is
I see what you’re saying, but some people don’t like the fast-paced game, as opposed to the more methodical thinking match that was the OT MP. Great read, though, and I agree that 343 is making great strides since launch.
I took the suggestion ad tried Halo 4 again. Vehicles are still fragile coffins, no de-scoping makes snipers OP, too many power weapons, the drop in speed while getting shot makes retreat impossible, the poorly designed maps devolve into messy firefights instead of tactical positioning, and stealth and jet packs are still the dominant game breaking AAs they have always been.
Worse, the player population is down to levels where matches are inevitably unbalanced. You have a few awesome players with 25+ kills a game on Big Team Battle and players struggling to get 10 kills. We need way more players for true skill ranking to work, and the most populated playlist, Big Team Battle, has but 4-6K players at a time. And you can forget about DLC. It never shows up in playlists. Those die hard Halo4 players who haven’t given up on the game 10 months later, they don’t buy DLC.Halo 4 is on its death bed, wasting away, vacillating between hoping for a cure and begging to be put out of its misery.
I still play the game but not as much as say 5 months ago. Halo 4 just isn’t fun for me I cant find any reason for me to put in my disc tray unless my friends hit me up. I used to play Halo for the Halo not for other ideas from other franchises. I miss my Halo. I miss de-scope, power-up pickups, on map weapon placement, GOOD vehicle warfare, amazing maps(they seem to get worse in every new Halo title), I miss no sprint so players cant run away from me as I shoot at them, etc. but there is good in all of this. 343i has realized that maybe Halo was loved by so many because it was NOT like other FPS out there and I hope the next title will shot that. I am not saying scrap everything but don’t FORCE me to play it like in the beginning when Halo 4 came out. I NEED OPTIONS!!! (social and ranked would fix this)

You still didn’t answer his question. I would also like to know where you got “half of 343 is bungie”.
Find me a playlist with descoping, equal starts, no sprint, reduced magnetism, no ordnance, no camo, jet pack or prometian vision and I’ll play it. Those are deal breakers for me.
I really wanted to love this game, but it’s just not the game I thought it would be. If there’s no place in future titles for people like myself then I just hope you guys who can stomach the chaotic imbalances have fun and I genuinely wish you all the best.
I tried to put up with Halo 4 again. I tried to deal with the randomness. I tried to have fun. But all I got was a load of BS lag, Active Camo campers, Camo Snipers, Boltshot campers, long search times that just ended up restarting EVERY TIME IT FOUND ENOUGH PEOPLE, poorly designed maps, perks, lack of descope that makes the snipers OP, people sprinting away from EVERY fight, insane magnetism and aim assist, vehicle gameplay is ruined, the LACK OF EQUAL STARTS, and freaking power weapons EVERYWHERE!
I can’t deal with that kind of BS in Halo. I come back every once in a while to check out the changes, but then I quickly leave. Why? Because all of the above is STILL THERE. I actually enjoyed Halo 4 again when Legendary Slayer came out, because there weren’t nearly as many gripes I have from above in Legendary Slayer, but then it was consolidated into Infinity Slayer, and I sometimes I just want to play Legendary Slayer but I can’t do that if everyone always picks Infinity or Team Slayer, and if they do actually pick Legendary Slayer, a bunch of people leave and JIP might not decide to fill in those spots and make it unbalanced.
I might come back to try Halo 5, but if I end up hating it like I did with Halo 4, then I give up on the Halo series, because -Yoink!- was obviously forcing 343i to rush Halo 4, and they might just force them to rush Halo 5.
I really wanted to love this game, I really did, but I can never love it if most of the above are still there…

I think the big TU just made the game worse because they added more weapons on the map and OS, but that’s just my opinion. Boy, I hope I don’t make anybody mad by saying that (sarc LOL). The people that get upset so easily are just the people that hate this game and are still butthurt cause they changed the game and It’s not H3 and they’re mad already and don’t really belong here and really offer no input whatsoever. They just have nothing better to do with their life (sadly)LOL, it’s true. I’ve been on these forums for a while now, and I see it every day.
I’m fine with the game the way it is now. However, 343i needs to be more focused on the next game than anything else. They only have what, more than a year left to complete the game?
