A message to teammates

When I put a warthog and park it in a good spot to provide damage or support PLEASE DONT GET IN THE DRIVER SEAT AND MOVE ME! (Sorry for the caps but had to let that anger out)

I sometimes know your pain. Especially if it’s a Gauss for me

This has been happening for years. The only solution I could think of is if there is some kind of extra button that allows the original driver to disable/enable the Warthog, but I doubt that would ever happen.

Me: Gets Vespin Rocket Hog Alright, time to take out these Banshee Raiders…
Teammate: WE’RE GOING ON AN ADVENTURE! proceeds to drive me off cliff

story of my life.

;’) dw brother I know your pain with the countless number of times of that happening to me.

Or my case into the line of fire and certain death

Sorry, I’m going to assume you want a driver since you spawned a warthog instead of a turret. I mean if you didn’t want someone to drive you around and hopefully do something useful, then you would have just spawned a turret.

Because turrets offer infinite ammo, increased protection, and extra mobility for quickly reaching your desired location after spawning it.

Frankly it’s difficult to trek when someone doesn’t want a driver. Imo, the universal sign of requesting a driver in a WZ game is driving to where teammates are located and shooting at your teammates.

If I see a warthog gunner with no driver, I’ll usually jump in the side seat w/ Wheelman to take some heat off the gunner, and so I can jump on the gun if he dies, to keep the damage going. If they respawn and come back and the warthog’s still standing, I’ll jump off the gun to let them have it back - it’s their hog, after all.

Or more likely try to run them over.

The idea that people should simply assume that the op just wants to sit in a turret taking potshots as opposed to circling the target is a bit silly. If he wants to communicate then he should get a microphone, otherwise people will have to interpret his actions and not read his mind. At least that was the point I was trying to make. You can’t assume people will interpret your actions in a specific way.

There’s also a difference between killing the enemy and actually holding them back. Picking of stragglers from a base back won’t help much.

Sorry but I will always jump in a warthog to get some action, you better be a good shooter.

This happened to me the other day (except with a Gauss Hog).
But we were trip capped, and aside from myself and a few other team mates, we were getting destroyed. I was real mad at first, but then could only sigh afterwards and just laugh. Warzone life amirite?

That’s also a big problem. Most of the time, the drivers suck.

Not all the time. If I see a Warthog set up on top of a base like the Spire or sitting in front of an enemies armory entrance, I’m going to assume they don’t want to be driving around. Unfortunately, not everyone takes the hint and gets in.

There was a whole next part of that sentence you chose to cut off which pointed out that one can’t assume that your actions will be interpreted a certain way.

I know the struggle. I usually have advanced senors on just so i get a heads up that someone is trying to do that.
If i wanted a driver I’d park outside a base.

Never assume that they know what you are going to do. Get on the mic, and let them know.

I’m quite fond of driving as well lol. Hard to resist, even if I know what the gunner is doing.

Pretty much these, I personally am not a great driver so I’m disinclined to hop in and drive someone around. That being said if you’re not communicating to your teammates that you don’t want a driver, then you should probably expect someone to hop in and take you for a ride.

Yeah, I know what you were saying, but I was pointing out that there are also people who will correctly interpret what someone is trying to do. Using a mic will help, but a lot of people won’t listen due to no headphones, party chat or for whatever other reason.
