A message to everyone disappointed in halo 4:

So a few hundred thousand people are disappointed with halo 4
( about 150,000 judging from this chart: http://halocharts.com/2012/chart/totalpopulation/all )

Many people who enjoyed halo 1-3 including myself are very bummed out with some of the choices that 343 made in Halo 4.

We need to get over it

We feel like it is morally wrong for 343 to change the game in a way that gets more sales by marketing it more towards casual gamers or call of duty-type gamers.
We need to realize that we are in a dark time for videogames where most developers are forced to sell out in order to be successful (a few exceptions like mojang)

So many Halo fans including myself were hoping for a game like halo 2-3, and so we all bought halo 4, and were utterly disappointed.

But this is honestly our own fault. We were in denial that halo 4 was going to sell out this much to the call of duty audience. Just starting the past couple years companies have been trying to appeal to the COD crowd, (Electronic Arts, Battlefield 3)

It may be time to realize that the halo we love so much will not have any more new entries. We should be glad that we had a WHOLE DECADE of truly amazing halo games, and people who think they deserve more than that need to check themselves. I for one am glad Bungie moved on instead of bleeding halo to death.

So as hard as it may seem, halo gamers who are disappointed with halo 4 may need to do the unthinkable - and actually stop buying the new Halo games made by 343!

Halo 4 is the start of a new franchise, and 343 has the right to make any type of game they like. You don’t have to buy them if you don’t like them.

For me, it was very difficult to let go of halo

But here is a list of things for you halo veterans to do instead of being disappointed in halo 4:

-Grab some buddies every once and a while and play halo 2

-Try out the mass effect series (Don’t skip the first two games)

-Get into reading some books (I recommend Michael Crichton)

-Find another good competitive shooter (there are plenty out there, especially on PC)

-Play Skyrim if you haven’t

-Join a Halo 4 custom games community when custom games are fixed

-Learn a musical instrument (If you like halo, pressing buttons, and challenge, try piano)

-Ask your friends what hobbies they have outside of videogames. (If they don’t have any, meet someone who does.)

-Learn how to cook. Gaming is more fun when you have delicious food to eat.

-Start working out everyday (Exercise at least every other day makes everything better, including videogames!)

-Minecraft (Alone and multiplayer are both spectacular if you have patience)

-If you’re a lean, mean, fightin machine like me, join a boxing club/class

-Save your money for Bungie’s next game (http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/11/27/details-on-bungie-39-s-next-game-leak-online.aspx)
