A Message to Camping Zombies

To anyone who plays Infection and decides to camp when you’re the Alpha Zombie, I gotta say you guys and girls are the biggest female dogs I’ve ever played with in Halo. I mean camping by ammo and weapons? That is what me and my friends like to call Noob Tactics.

A good example of this is on the map Station Zulu. A lot of times I go to grab the shotgun ammo and almost every time I go for it, an Alpha Zombie infects me because his cowardass was crouching and camping behind the wall next to it.

Another example is on Drillsite when I see zombies camping by the SAW and on the bottom floor behind blocks.

My message to you all is stop playing like female dogs and get some kahones and play in the game. Whenever me and my friends are Alpha Zombies, we don’t camp and we get a lot more infection kills than any zombie who camps like a scaredy pussycat.

I take it you got baited into a few deaths?

No I didn’t. And either way the zombies are still camping like a bunch of cowards who can’t get a kill without camping. I’ve seen this happen in every Infection game I’ve played when they camp by weapons and ammo and kill me or other players and its ridiculous. Its a very cheap way for zombies to get kills. Especially when they can get a lot more by simply rushing the humans at the start of the game.

And the survivors don’t camp in infection these days? Sadly, since reach that is what infection has become a camp fest. Preventing players from getting certain weapons (headshot weapons, the gauss turret) or beating the enemy to the common camping spots is kind of a good idea and sounder tactically then rushing into open fire.

You’ll also have to support the idea that you don’t camp and get more kills than those who don’t camp. Statistics is your friend, here. Until then it is just bluster.

Here’s the thing though. The humans are supposed to camp while the zombies look for them. Its been that way since Halo 3. The fact that zombies now have to camp to get kills just proves they suck.

No, actually you’re supposed to survive. I quite fondly remember running around with a shotgun with my mates watching my back in H3. They are supposed to kill you. There is no reason for them not to do it a manner of their choosing. I personally don’t camp on either side as I consider cheap, but there is nothing wrong with it. If that is the strategy they think works best they can do that and whinging on waypoint won’t really change that. Sometimes you have to go to the kills, they don’t always come to you.

So a zombie player being smart and preempting survivor desire for weapons is a “noob tactic”? I think it’s more noobish for a survivor to not be careful when going for weapons in the beginning. It’s also a double standard that survivors can camp but zombies can’t. The way I see it, if it isn’t cheating, it’s a legit tactic.

I came here kind of looking to sympathize, but this is definitely like a legit tactic. Not even like how people who camp troll and call camping with akimbo rangers (MW2 reference for the uninitiated) a legitimate tactic - because this actually is.

I don’t know how going after ammo and gun spawns isn’t smart, especially in a tight game.

A zombie camping weapons and ammo waiting for players to come by is the definition of a Noob Tactic. I can understand if the zombie is heading toward the ammo or weapon to try and find a human, but straight up camping by said ammo or weapon waiting for a human to show up is the noobiest thing in Infection to date because it shows you can’t get kills any other way.

Like I said before. Me and my friends don’t camp as zombies and we slaughter everyone in the game and the round goes by really quick.

I’m also going to throw this out there - how many of your friends do you typically play with?

There are a lot of solo players out there. Seems like this strategy would definitely help solo players who don’t have a team to benefit from.

I think camping is a good way to separate the noobs from the pros. Noobs don’t check where they’re going and get shanked by the zombies while the pros always check their surroundings and keep the Shotgun handy. I personally don’t camp but I think it’s good that campers take care of the noobs so they don’t get in our way. The fewer survivors there are the more kills I get. Halo wouldn’t be Halo without campers. Just be careful when playing Infection.

From an Alpha’s point of view its damn better to “camp” the power weapons then to run right in and get slaughtered as not only is it easy kills it also allows an Alpha to ambush survivors and get those initial infections to build up an noteworthy force which would help in the long run when the survivors themselves start camping.

Actually I’d have say rushing the ammo or weapon and NOT expecting a zombie to be waiting there is rather noobish… It’s infection! It’s not a ranked game, it’s casual, let people play the way they play. If you don’t go around every corner expecting a zombie then don’t get mad when you get an energy sword in the gut.

When I’m the Alpha, I rush in and I get 2 to 3 infection kills. Thats a lot better than just camping weapons like a noob and the round ends quicker as well. The only map that really sucks for the zombies is the Crypt and even then as the Alpha, I can get infection kills without camping like a female dog.

So what you are saying is the zombies just need to run to their death at the hands of a cluster luck of shotgun blasts? There is nothing wrong with making the survivors think twice about just running out for a weapon or ammo, anytime i am the survivor i would welcome something like this that would give me a break from the normal boring zombies that is a camp fest for the survivors.

Alright Mate, Let’s play it this way…This thread has gone on a long time with everyone disagreeing with you. In spite of this you have continued to assert that ‘camping weapons is for noobs’ and that ‘it is the only way they can get kills’ or that ‘you can do it better.’ You haven’t demonstrated any of those things. Right now you’re on your soapbox screaming, “The moon will fall in 3 days.” Well if what you assert is true, provide some evidence. Back up your claims. Show evidence to support what you keep yelling.

It sounds like you normally play with your friends in a party. As much as you hate camping, for solo players without mics it’s a useful tactic. Plus both sides do it. You may not play that way and good for you, but to each their own.

I’ll see if I can post footage later on. I’m actually bout to play Halo now. Just give me some time.

Posting footage won’t show how knowing where a weapons spawns and waiting for someone to go after it is ‘noobish.’ Back up the assertions, there isn’t any video that will help you do that.

This is rediculous. If you don’t like campers why don’t you just do what they’re doing, camp. Lol if someone tells me they can’t camp in their preferred spot because the infected beat you to it, why don’t you find more places?
