A Message To 343

343, if you’re looking at this post right now, I just want to let you know, don’t completely abandon Halo 5. I know Halo Wars 2 is the brand new game in the Halo series and pretty much everyone is talking about, but not everyone is an RTS fan. Halo 5 is a first-person shooter game, and Halo Wars 2 is (as previously mentioned) an RTS game. A first-person shooter game and an RTS game are COMPLETELY different types of games. Many people love Halo 5, and they would most likely be very disappointed if there was just no more new content, if it just suddenly STOPPED. So if it’s not too hard, can you and the other 343 members somehow find a way to work on Halo 5 and Halo Wars 2 simultaneously?? Halo is one of my favorite game franchises, and Halo 5 is probably the best game I played since Mario Kart Wii, and that’s saying a lot, because Mario Kart Wii was amazing in my opinion! But again, if it’s not too hard, can you and everyone else at 343 find a way to work on Halo 5 and Halo Wars 2 simultaneously??

Thank you for your time,
MoltenGem643

I would by halo wars 2 if it weren’t for that pesky close up camera. The story looks way better though.

They are working on both

Halo Wars 2 is a spin off, which means it gets less support than the main game. If Halo 5 support goes down in the future, it would be caused by preparation for Halo 6, not Halo Wars 2. Both are being supported right now.

when are they starting Halo 6?

Creative assembly will be more in control if HW2 since they made it, 343 were just the publishers. In the end h5 is going to lose dev support sooner or later for a H3A if 343 are secretly doing it or h6 which is guessed to launched in 2018-2019. H5 is lucky it even had as much support it got cuz most fps games don’t give support so long after launch. No reason for 343 to keep working on it till h6 as that puts less people to work on h6.

being a spinoff doesn’t mean less support. Spinoff means it doesn’t connect to the main story but it doesn’t mean less support. Look at halo reach, mass effect andromeda, gears of war judgement. All are triple A games and they’re very big games (Andromeda has yet to launch but it’s labeled a spinoff).

I don’t know if HW2 is a spin off per say, HW story ties in with the other games. It’s a different type of game, granted but that doesn’t matter… Regardless, HW2 will get a ton of support. Maybe as much as H5, who knows. 343I/MS want HW2 to succeed though, don’t kid yourself. They’ll be supporting it, but H5 is still being supported, not as much as it was, but that’s expected with any game as it gets older, so don’t worry

They have already started working on it. I’m guessing they might show a tease for H6 at E3 this June.

I’ve been speculating this and it seems most likely this is what they are doing. Think about how poorly 343 are recieved thanks to MCC and Halo 5, do you think they’d openly announce a H3A if they knew it wasn’t ready? I don’t, for one reason, they know they can’t afford a blow like messing up a Halo 3 remake, cause if they do, well let’s just say Halo will become as desolate as the Desert where the ET cartridges are buried (just a refrence joke, do not take the cartridge part seriously)

Thing is, there never should’ve been a HW2… Think about all that extra money that could’ve been allotted to H5 sustainment efforts and H6…

We may have one more update coming soon

Where is the OP getting this information from? Why would 343 abandon H5 to work on HW2?

Oh I thought spin off meant different genre, but you’re right as it can refer to story as well.
