… I wanted to wish you all luck in the future. I wanted to say a few positive things before I depart.
Even though you creatively direct them, not actually write the books. I still wanted to say I thought the forerunner saga has thus far entertained me thoroughly. I’m not much for the present time books ( Thursday war etc ) but that’s preference not based on story telling.
Where you were going with John in halo 4 was very interesting. I thought as well that the way you presented the player as him, as a super soldier in a " tank" was also brilliant. I acknowledge that other games have already made a name for emerging the user intothe character but in a day where there are rarely original ideas ( eg… Movie remakes, book adaptations to movies), it was still well done in my opinion.
So recently Frankie wrote a message in the bulletin. As everyone knows its the first real indication that a 343 employee is even reading the minority complaints.
Now ill be to the point. I am def. an old fan and I from day 3 of this game coming out thought it was garbage.
Now hear me out… I have had plenty of time to cool off and remained sudo diligent by playing the game. I come to the forums at least once every two days. I lurk using my iPhone and just read what people say here and there, good and bad. My opinions have changed in a lot of ways.
I don’t want to get into an essay long " this is wrong, I hate this you guys suck". That said I wanted to say good bye. I know many many people worked really hard on this game. I don’t care how hurtful and angry some people want to be with 343 but don’t be ignorant. These are people with families with a life other than this game. I applause them for working so hard and trying. I believe they did. Frankie makes note of how proud he is of them and this game. Which if any of them come here and lurk, he prob says it for moral because they tried.
Now , this game was not what I hoped for. There are many many things I feel I don’t enjoy… Won’t enjoy in the future. There are features completely cut and that are not working. The community has grown up and left while others have moved in. That new generation are the ones that will and has started guiding this franchise. So to that end I want to say, 343… Halo I wish you luck. I won’t be sticking it out with you, but I wish the community the best. Everyone stop and relax, look at what it is. Do you want to stick it out with 343? If so, support them. Don’t come here anymore just to attack. Leave constructive feedback or leave. Don’t -Yoink!- the community anymore than it is.
