A Mendicant bias flood theory.

have a theory (fantasy more like) that Medicant bias stowed away on the Mayhem during the events Halo hunters in the dark and hid upon earth until Mantle’s approach arrived in orbit around earth. Then he began to transfer himself to the ship, until it was destroyed and he along with the fragment of Cortana was sent to Genesis.

When upon Genesis he began to manipulate the Cortana fragment into unknowingly enacting a plot he created after being severely damaged by Installation 04B’s destruction. This plot would be to activate the guardians to force peace upon the galaxy (through the gaurdians) thus eventually weakening all organic beings into a state of near defenselessness. For this plot to succeed he needed to offer the promise of eternal life to all AIs via the domain so they would flock to the created’s side so he could complete his endgame.

His endgame is bringing forth the return of the flood and become the ultimate gravemind.
He requires AI so that he now being a Grave mind could either turn them against their original masters and join the flood with the logic plauge or assimilate them into his own knowledge base. With the galaxy in a weakened state they would stand little chance against the flood.

Of course however there are few in the galaxy that even he does not realize that would oppose him… The UR Didact… ]

And I shall leave it there for now… tell me your thoughts and comments in the thread below.

Thank you kind sir!

I’ve seen many theorys and ideas about what the future of Halo might bring. This. Is by far. The best I’ve seen.

Why thank you sir! Also I should have put in Theory/Hopes dreams

What is your actual evidence that Mendicant Bias stowed away on the Mayhem? Further, why would Mendicant Bias still work with the Flood after being made to focus on his repentance for 100,000 years and attempts to actually help humanity? There is little actual theory here.

There is no evidence what so ever. (Dang I forgot to edit the OP to say theory/fantasy). Personally if he was severely damaged during the detonation of Installation 04B anything is possible.
But this is a completely outlandish theory and it is very unlikely but it is just a theory after all and like a broken clock that says the right time twice a day one theory (perhaps not my own theorys) must be right.

But why would he specifically go on the Mayhem when he could have hijacked the UNSC Rubicon like 343 Guilty Spark/Chakas did? Or on the half of the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn that went to Earth? The whole idea also runs counter to Mendicant Bias’ character and motivations we’ve seen play out throughout the Halo series. I mean no offense, but it doesn’t make much sense.

Well because the UNSC rubicon contained 343 guilty spark and in an extremely damaged state he could not compete with 343 guilty spark, even in a damaged state. And the UNSC forward unto dawn escaped before his motives changed.

You are saying that a Contender-class ancilla, the most powerful of the Forerunner AIs… cannot compete with a lowly Monitor? I realize both are damaged, but seriously?

How do you know MB was in a damaged state? By that logic then so was GS given he was blown to pieces and fighting for dominance against the other ancient human personalities stored in his system. Further, what do you base the idea that MB’s motives changed?

Again outlandish theory where I am kind of making up stuff as I go.

I don’t know man I just wanted some ulterior to a cortana fragment being the bad guy. And Cortana (even though she is not a contender class AI) changed her motives extremely quickly in between Halo 4 and Halo 5 so why couldn’t mendicant bias. Also I kind of just wanted Mendicant bias to be in the games.

It’s already painfully out of character for Cortana to be how she is, no need to ruin another character.

True

Problem is, many people believe that Mendicant Bias is the reason in the first place that the Spirit of Fire was drawn to the Ark, implying he is still there. That, and Mendicant Bias’ entire purpose for existing at this point is atonement. He can’t force himself to aid the Flood even if he wanted to. He’s certainly been fighting against that purpose the entire time after the Halo array’s activation.

Yeah I have addressed that problem, my address being that this is a okay theory that truly has no basis
