The state it’s in, I cannot play matchmaking due to everybody using the DMR and Boltshot. The P2P hosting gives players an intense advantage over others and above all I cannot have FUN on Halo 4’s multiplayer, I’ve tried so hard to, custom games are atrocious at the moment with their horrible frame rate issues.
The only reason for me to put this game back in my disc tray is for Campaign & Spartan Ops. This is coming from a guy who is trying to run a channel about Halo, all the Halo viewers are far to busy with the ‘famous’ channels, leaving me with >1% active viewers.
Please, I beg you 343i. Listen to your forums, we don’t need any more playlists, what we need is fair and balanced matchmaking experience.
Listen + RESPOND to your community + Act on the issue = A fun game that the CASUAL gamers can enjoy
Don’t listen + Don’t act + Adding pointless stuff = A game that will loose it’s lifelong fans. I know you all worked very hard on the game, the parts that work are amazing, but please, postpone Halo 5 until you’ve finished Halo 4.

Honestly, if you got through Reach, you can get through this.
The game’s getting better as time goes by. They may not be listening too well, but Bravo has been doing an outstanding job.
I’d wait and see if the TU addresses the DMR/Boltshot.
Team throwdown is an upcoming playlist with more balanced gameplay it seems. Team doubles is another playlist that has pro that’s more classic I hear. Lol the playlists invoice the change you want. I understand where you’re coming from, but its clear they’ve been hearing us on the forums and they’re working to change it. If its not fast enough for you, then I guess there’s nothing you can do about it.

Would you like to play team double pro with me then ive been into that gametype like nuts and if thats something you dont like i could always be your teammate when you play to help you out. I’m a pretty good player and im always looking to help people out if there having troubles with the game.
No one can rank themselves in Halo fandom. We are all on equal footing once we play a Halo game. They could have fixed the game earlier, but right now they’re focused on War Games and SpOps.
Take a break till the TU deploys. Alien CM comes out next week and there’s plenty of games to try out. FORZA 4 is really fun. Playing as the infected Car chasing everyone down in a tag game is spot on hilarity.

Of course it is going to dominate on most of the maps. Most of the maps are medium to long range so it would make sense and your own common sense should be screaming at you that a PRECISION…SINGLE SHOT…RIFLE would dominate every other gun at those ranges.

No need for stupidity, every other person here is that.
I don’t need to be killed 1,000 times by the boltshot to know that people should never spawn with it, Heck, I don’t need to be killed by it 10 times to know that! The game is a science, and the boltshot screws it up.
The DMR? Yeah, Halo map breaker. In order for the DMR to work better, they should just throw the Halo style maps out the window altogether, because they don’t work well together at all. They have in a way, made the maps larger, more wide open, longer sight-lines etc. But this limbo between Halo and the “new breed” is dragging this game down. They either need to stick to the original game mechanics and sandbox, or completely revamp it.
(Don’t get me started on the specifics of why the DMR is the worst weapon ever… I will kill you).
If you haven’t read any of the past 3 weeks bulletins you really should. I will give some of the highlights.
Competitive playlist coming called Team Throwdown. The settings are very close to Halo of old. I can’t tell you how excited I am about this playlist.
Competitive Skill Rank or CSR for short. Granted it would be in game (which saddens me) but it will really bring a reason to play again and again to max out at level 50.
Team Objective is coming. Placing all our favorite objective games in one playlist.
New DLC. It has been said that there will be 2 much needed SMALL maps, and 1 medium map in this new DLC.
Team Snipers is coming next week with new more competitive settings.
A TU is also coming: Nothing is confirmed as to its contents but I am hoping for these few things: BOLTSHOT NERF, new Gametypes (Assault, 1-flag, 1, bomb, ViP, race, just to name a few)
Community made maps are being placed into playlist.
As you can see 343 isn’t blind to what is happening and IMO they had a rocky start but are finally getting a real foothold and are about to start running.

They should do what bungie did: play the game with other players! Bungie was involved in the community and did alot to keep that. they played the game with others on the occasion.
That’s funny. The only reason I still play is for the (horribly unbalanced and stress-inducing) multiplayer. I thought campaign was awful (except for the first two missions) and Spartan Ops is a joke.
