A marvelous example of what squad AI should be

Back in the time of the original Xbox, there was a game called “Star Wars: Republic Commando”

This was the ultimate squad game. You were the commander of an elite unit. Delta squad. A four man unit of elite clone commandos.

They were yours to command. Door breaches, terminal slices, charge setting, turret manning, securing positions, taking sniping positions, taking grenade positions, taking anti-armor positions, and targeting specific targets, even reviving you when you get taken down. Except they wouldn’t tell you “I’m busy, maybe later”.

Republic Commando is the epitome of squad mechanics. You want Halo 6 squads? RC is the example to follow

loved that game. I recommend you play Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2, both are squad based shooters and backwards compatible for Xbox One.
