Would you like it in Halo 4 if you had the ability to see an overview of the map, from the top? And no, it’s not a minimap. Instead, it would be something that would show up when you press start, and then there would be a grid on it, for example, maybe “A-B-C-D-E” from top to bottom and 1-2-3-4-5 left to right. This would lead to better callouts and teamwork + coordination. Would you like this?
Not really, It doesn’t really promote callouts in Cod either.

How about a map of a map of a map! Mapception…
But on a serious note, having a map of the level could really cause some problems in multiplayer due to people stop moving while looking at the map. Not only would this slow down the pace of the game, people would frequently get killed while checking the map as well.
there’s already such a feature, but it’s not ingame, it’s apart of Atlas.
So, like the ATLAS app? It would be cool, but it’s not really necessary.

Right, but would that not mean that skilled players can utilize a map much better than bad players? It would definitely help good players, and would therefore increase skill gap.

And that’s why Atlas is 100% better than a in game map of a map.
I can pull up atlas, look at the map, and still be running and gunning like a boss.

Maybe, but it would also lead to a lot of unfair kills, since the dead player wouldn’t have had the chance to fight back due to having been looking at the map.
Sure, you could say that the player is taking a risk by taking a look at the map, so it’s his fault if he dies, but why make the game more complicated with such an unneeded feature?
It’s a good idea in concept, but it just wouldn’t work in a multiplayer environment. However, we have seen that it works great in single player in ODST.
It’s pointless no one will ever use it they should just make names for parts of the map like reach.
No thank you.
If it came up when you held select along with the game stats it would work because it would allow you to still move BUT I would still rather not have it as part of playing Halo is getting to know the maps and learning all of the good spots
